Best NHL PrizePicks Player Projections
This is a perfect storm of a matchup for the under here. The Carolina Hurricanes allow the fewest shots on goal in the NHL at a paltry 25.02 and lead the league in Corsi For at 60.2%, meaning they control the puck more than any other team. Vancouver only takes 28 shots per game to start with, and the Canucks are on the road to open after the All-Star Break. Assuming Kochetkov allows one or two goals, I don’t see him having enough chances to clear this number.

The Bruins take on the Flames at home this evening, and Calgary’s rebuilding has begun with them trading star Elias Lindholm to Vancouver last week. Zacha has a point in 25 of 45 games this year and skates on the top power play line alongside David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. The opportunities should be there to pick up a point for anyone playing most of their minutes with Pastrnak, and I think Boston should dominate this game while Calgary figures out its new identity.
While it is typically more fruitful to take anyone from Dallas at home, the Stars are projected to score almost four goals tonight against the Sabres. The 33-year-old center has a point in 32 of 48 games this season, and the Dallas second line is one of the most highly rated in the NHL. Buffalo is not known for their defense, and I expect the Stars to come out energized following the All-Star Break. Really, the most concerning thing about this is how easy it seems, but sometimes, you gotta take what they’re giving you and play the percentages.
