Nathan MacKinnon More Than 0.5 Assists (Goblin)
The Avalanche are on a nice run, going 5-1-0 over their last six, and are in the hunt for the top spot in the Western Conference. Their top line is one of the best in the league, as all those guys can make plays and score at will. It's obvious that MacKinnon is a step above all of them as his 111 points lead the league and he's holding a slight lead in Hart Trophy odds. He'll face the Flames, whose defense has been getting smashed by allowing 12 goals in their last two games. MacKinnon has an assist in both previous games against Calgary this season.
Brady Tkachuk More Than 4.0 Shots On Goal
Sitting in the cellar of the Eastern Conference with 54 points, the Senators were sellers at the trade deadline. The team continues to plummet as they are 0-6-1 in their last seven. Tonight, they get another team going in a different direction, as the Penguins also traded away some key players. These two teams haven't seen each other since December 23rd, so both have a new look. Tkachuk had four shots on goals in both games against Pittsburgh this year, but that defensive line is thinner, and Brady has hit five SOG in back-to-back games.
Alex DeBrincat Less Than 0.5 Goals (Demon)
This is not a good time for the Red Wings to hit a rough patch. They are coming in tonight on a five-game pointless streak, and as a result, they are tied with the Islanders for the final Wild Card spot. They've never had a good defense, but the offense has been able to support them, scoring 3.42 goals per game. However, they are averaging just 1.6 goals in the last five games, including being shut out twice. Alex DeBrincat is tied with Dylan Larkin for the most points on the team, but he's struggled with just one assist in the last five games. Detroit has recently faced some excellent goaltenders, and it doesn't get better tonight. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has been fantastic, with a 2.45 overall GAA and 2.11 with a .928 save percentage in the last nine games, including against Toronto and Edmonton.
