Connor Bedard More Than 3.5 Shots On Goal
We knew the Blackhawks weren't going to be good this year, but with the second-fewest points, they'll be in a great position to get the top pick. The first-overall pick they got last year (Connor Bedard) has looked great with 57 points (21G 36A) and, at -2500 odds, is a lock for the Calder Trophy.
Chicago faces the Islanders, who desperately need to win if they want a chance at the playoffs. They did play last night in an overtime matchup with the Flyers, so they could be sluggish tonight.
This would be a great pick regardless against an Isles' defense allowing 32.2 shots on goal per game over their last 10. Bedard has hit this over in four of his last five.
Matthew Tkachuk More Than 0.5 Assists
It's been strange to see Florida at one point be the most dominant team and now going through an awful period at the wrong time. They're coming into this game 2-6-1. The schedule has been brutal with each of their opponents, except one, currently in a playoff spot.
They face Montreal tonight, who will once again be done after the regular season. Right now, they are playing very well, winning three of their last four, including against Colorado. Cayden Primeau had one start against the Panthers this year where he allowed five goals, but that was back in November.
He's been much better recently, allowing one or fewer goals in three of four, but those three were against Columbus, Philadelphia and Seattle. These are allowed bottom-tier offenses, so look for the same results as the previous game. Matthew Tkachuk went pointless in his previous two before grabbing a helper last night, so look for him to get hot again.
