Florida Panthers at Carolina Hurricanes

  • Leg 1: Carolina Moneyline (-122)
  • Leg 2: Under 6 Total Goals (-115)
  • Leg 3: Andrei Svechnikov Over 0.5 Points (-135)

The Panthers are firing on all cylinders at the moment. They are on a fantastic run, going 18-3-0 over their last 21 games. There is no weakness to this team as they lead the league with 57.61% expected goal share in all situations. At 35 years old, the 14-year veteran goalie Sergei Bobrovsky is as good as ever, and 2.30 GAA is third, and the .918 save percentage is fifth. He was fantastic in the last matchup against Carolina by saving 28-of-29 shots, but that one was the deal breaker as they lost 1-0.

No one would be shocked if these two met late in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Hurricanes pose the same premiere talent, as they are third in expected goals and lead the league in expected goals allowed per 60. What makes Carolina so dangerous is how loaded they are: 12 players with 24 or more points and 10 with double-digit goals.

Florida's top lines have the better players, but Carolina benefits as they get deeper. That's how they were able to grind it out for 59 minutes and 19 seconds before they sealed the last matchup.

Parlay Odds: +492

New York Islanders at Buffalo Sabres

  • Leg 1: Jeff Skinner Under 0.5 Points  (-145)
  • Leg 2: Under 6 Total Goals (-110)
  • Leg 3: Under 1.5  First Period Goals (+114)

We thought it was all over for the Islanders, and now they are back in the hunt. They have won six of their last seven, which has put them in the final Wild Card spot. They have been excellent on both ends of the ice during this stretch, something they haven't accomplished all season. They have dominated the puck at 60% expected goal share while allowing three or fewer goals in seven straight.

The Sabres have more overall losses than wins, but they are still in playoff contention, and a regulation victory would put them just three points behind New York. The offense has been struggling with a 48% expected goal share, and they have trouble with the penalty kill, but the defense has stepped up and kept this team afloat. Most significant has been Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen; he continues to play a vital part with 10.3 goals saved above expected and 2.43 goals allowed.

The Isles hold the advantage on the even-strength offense, but both special teams are nearly the same. This could come down to the goaltenders, as Luukkonen and Ilya Sorokin are at the top of their game. Look for a physical matchup with these two so close in the standings.

Parlay Odds: +590

Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens

  • Leg 1: Bruins -1.5 (+105)
  • Leg 2: Over 6 Total Goals (-102)
  • Leg 3: David Pastrnak Under 4.5  Shots On Goal (-120)

The Bruins took an upset loss to the Blues before heading north of the border. While the wins haven't been there, they are coming away with points; out of their last 15 games, they have gone pointless in just three, which has helped them remain near the top of the standings in the Eastern Conference. It's Linus Ullmark's turn in the cage, and he struggled for a while, but over his last two games, he's allowed three goals with a .954 save percentage.

He could keep that going against a Montreal offense that is 29th in expected goals. They have a couple of fantastic pieces like Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Mike Matheson, so when they finally build around them, this could be a future playoff contender.

The Habs took the first game in the season series, but Boston quickly responded, winning the next two by a combined score of 14-6.
