On Saturday, we have a total of nine games on the National Hockey League (NHL) slate. We have a pair of afternoon games, as the Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers duel at 1:00 p.m. ET in Sunrise, and the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins tangle at 3:30 p.m. ET. Both of those games are on ABC/ESPN+ if you want to watch. We won’t make picks on games so early, though.
Instead, we’ll focus on the evening schedule to give you more time to make your selections. The Winnipeg Jets and Washington Capitals meet at Capital One Arena in D.C. at 7:00 p.m. ET, and that’s the nationally-televised game on NHL Network.
Below, we feature solid NHL same-game parlays (SGPs) for tonight’s matchups. Perhaps you can mix and match with some NBA contests or games from yet another full weekend of college hoops.
These parlays come with +400 odds or higher. Let’s get started.

New York Islanders at Tampa Bay Lightning
- Leg 1: Tampa Bay Lightning Moneyline (-178)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Goals (+104)
- Leg 3: Brandon Hagel Anytime Goal Scorer (+200)
The Islanders (23-20-7) make the second stop on a three-game road trip against the Lightning (27-20-3) at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.
New York kicked off the trip in grand fashion on Thursday with a 3-0 victory behind Ilya Sorokin at Wells Fargo Center against the Philadelphia Flyers. He kicked aside all 23 shots he faced, while Simon Holmstrom, Marc Gatcomb and Kyle Palmieri provided all of the necessary offense. Six different players managed assists, too, which is rather impressive after scoring just three goals.
The Islanders have picked up six straight victories, outscoring the competition 21-7 during that span. It’s no surprise the under is 5-1 in that win streak. They have cashed at an 11-3 clip dating back to December 29th.
Tampa Bay is also coming off a 3-0 victory, as Andrei Vasilevskiy turned aside all 28 shots he faced against the visiting Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. Brandon Hagel opened the scoring just 4:45 into the game. He returned with a second goal late in the third period before Anthony Cirelli posted a short-handed empty-net goal to put a bow on the scoring.
The Lightning have struggled a little bit, going 2-3-0 in their past six games, averaging just 2.2 goals per game in the span. They have allowed only six goals (two goals per game) in the past three outings. The under is 4-1 in the past five games, including 3-0 in Vasilevskiy’s past three starting assignments.
As such, we’ll back the Lightning to cool off the Islanders on the Moneyline, although they’re a little on the pricey side. In addition, the under is the way to go based on the results for both of these teams lately.
Looking at player props, let’s keep it simple. Last time out, Brandon Hagel notched a pair of goals. As an anytime goal scorer, he is a good bet to play straight up, giving you a chance to double up. As part of a three-leg parlay, you have the chance to multiply your wager by nearly nine times.
Parlay Odds: +892
Detroit Red Wings at Calgary Flames
- Leg 1: Detroit Red Wings Moneyline (+100)
- Leg 2: Under 5.5 Goals (-102)
- Leg 3: Dylan Larkin 1+ Points (-205)
At 10:00 p.m. ET at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, the Red Wings (25-21-5) pay a visit to the Flames (25-18-7).
Detroit successfully opened the four-game Western Conference road trip with a 3-2 shootout victory against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night behind Alex Lyon. The Red Wings cashed as huge underdogs (+224), with Lyon making 45 saves. He and the Red Wings slipped behind 2-0 by 10:29 of the second period, but Michael Rasmussen and Dylan Larkin scored 1:48 apart midway through the third period, as the visitors quieted the home crowd, forcing overtime and eventually a shootout, stealing two points in the Great White North.
The Flames are coming off a 4-1 beatdown of the Anaheim Ducks as heavy favorites (-180) as the under (6.0) cashed. Dustin Wolf was tremendous against the Ducks. He has allowed just nine total goals in his past five starts.
Calgary is 4-2-0 in the past six games, while the under is 5-3 in the past eight outings. They have gone 11-5 across the past 16 games dating back to December 28th.
These teams met earlier in the season, with the Red Wings coming away with a 2-1 win in overtime as short underdogs (+101) at Little Caesars Arena. Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond had power-play goals for the home side, as Detroit has won five in a row in the series. Connor Zary had a power-play goal for the Flames, netting their lone goal against Cam Talbot.
The Red Wings managed a total of just three goals in three games, going 0-2-1 from January 18th to January 21st. However, they’ve caught fire again, winning four in a row, outscoring the opposition 14-6, while the under is 2-1-1 in that four-game span. They’re 4-1-1 in the past six outings. We’ll back the Red Wings to surprise the Flames on the road and maintain their mastery in the series while also playing under.
Dylan Larkin of the Red Wings has flourished under new coach Todd McLellan - 10 goals and 22 points with a +7 rating across the past 17 games. He has nine points on the power play, too. We’ll simply play Larkin to record a single point to get us over the +400 hump. Don’t bet Larkin straight up, though, as that would cost you more than two times your return and provides no value.
Parlay Odds: +407
