We went 2-0 with our selections last night in the TBT. Let’s keep that momentum going with two more games on the slate for tonight.
The Red Rose War Ready will take on Davis Steel in the non-alumni semifinal. That game will be followed by another Vegas Semifinal matchup between The Mecca and Heartfire Elite. I’ve got the best The Basketball Tournament picks below.

Tuesday's Best The Basketball Tournament Picks & Predictions
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Red Rose War Ready vs. Davis Steel
Through two games, Davis Steel has shot 47.2% from the field and has scored an average of 82.5 points per game. The offense isn’t getting to the foul line much, but has shot over 40% from three through those two games. Gabe York has led the team with 23 points per game. Additionally, Cameron McGriff has added 15 points, while Terry Taylor has scored ten points per game.
On the other hand, Red Rose War Ready added a win last night against Gotham City Bockers, 65-63. They’re now 2-1 in the tournament but survived for another game. Wendell Green has scored 20 points per game, and three other players have scored in double figures. However, the depth drops off significantly after those first four players. They’ve scored just 68 points per game and have shot only 34.8% from the field.
Therefore, I’m riding Davis Steel at -150 on the moneyline.
Pick: Davis Steel Moneyline (-150)
The Mecca vs. Heartfire Elite
Heartfire Elite is second in the TBT with 81 points per game. The team has shot just 32.6% from downtown but has hit 45% from the field, while also earning 78% from the foul line. They’re led by Jordan Sears, Tevin Mack, and Eric Washington, who have all added at least 13 points per game.
Additionally, Heartfire Elite already earned a 90-84 win over The Mecca earlier in the tournament. This team shot 50% from the field and hit nearly 42% from three to score 90 points. Meanwhile, The Mecca still has a lot of scoring options as well. In that same game, Casper Ware tallied 19 points and a couple of bench players contributed double-digits.
The Mecca is still fourth in the TBT in points and, like Heartfire Elite, doesn’t take a ton of threes. Both teams are great at scoring around the rim, which is why I’ll be backing the Over 147.5 in this matchup.
Pick: Over 147.5 Total Points (-110)
