UFC 320 Main Card Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)

UFC Fight Night Odds, Picks & Predictions: Cory Sandhagen vs. Song Yadong (2022)

The UFC is back in Las Vegas with two title fights on Saturday, October 4. The light heavyweight champion, Magomed Ankalaev, is facing Alex Pereira after taking the belt from him in March. Merab Dvalishvili is putting his bantamweight strap on the line against Cory Sandhagen in the co-main event.

The rest of the card is stacked with lots of meaningful bouts, particularly Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr., the winner of which will likely fight the winner of the main event title fight. The early prelims start at 6 p.m. EDT and the main event gets underway at 10 p.m. EDT on pay-per-view.

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jiri Prochazka (-198) vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. (+164)

This light heavyweight matchup is likely a number-one contender fight, with the winner fighting the winner of the main event between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira. Khalil Rountree Jr. has come into his own after an up-and-down start in the UFC. He has won six of his last seven fights, with the lone loss coming against Pereira for the belt in October 2024. Jiri Prochazka is 5-2 in the UFC, both losses coming against Pereira.

Prochazka is an awkward striker, but he is there to get hit. He only defends 43% of opponents' significant strikes and absorbs 5.70 significant strikes per minute. Rountree Jr. lands 3.79 significant strikes per minute at 40% accuracy. I expect Rountree Jr. to utilize his Muay Thai style effectively and maintain technical precision at range.

Prochazka is the fighter to implement wrestling, if either does. It should be a striking matchup that is competitive. Both men have solid power and effective styles. Rountree Jr. will stay active and move around the cage, using kicks to the body to slow down Prochazka's awkward movement. I think Rountree Jr.'s technicality helps him win this fight on the scorecards.

Pick: Khalil Rountree Jr. Moneyline (+164)

Merab Dvalishvili (395) vs. Cory Sandhagen (+310)

Merab Dvalishvili has defended his belt twice since winning it from Sean O'Malley in September 2024. He has won 13 consecutive fights, the last being a submission victory over Sean O'Malley in their rematch. Cory Sandhagen is 4-1 in his previous five fights, with the lone loss coming against Umar Nurmagomedov via unanimous decision. Last time out, Sandhagen knocked out Deiveson Figueiredo in the second round after a knee injury from Figueiredo.

Sandhagen is as dangerous as it gets in the bantamweight division. He is tall and utilizes his knees and elbows effectively. He has a five-inch height and two-inch reach advantage over Dvalishvili in this matchup. I expect Dvalishvili to look for takedowns to avoid striking with Sandhagen. He averages 5.84 takedowns per 15 minutes, while Sandhagen defends 63% of takedowns.

Sandhagen fared well against Umar Nurmagomedov in August 2024, but lost a close fight on the scorecards. He was taken down five times and controlled for just over five minutes. I expect Dvalishvili to have some success in wrestling, but Sandhagen is aggressive, even when he is on his back. He has slicing elbows and has improved his get-up game. It is going to be a close fight, and Sandhagen doesn't just provide more value,  could even walk out of the octagon a champion.

Pick: Cory Sandhagen Moneyline (+310)
