UFC 326: Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira 2
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Max Holloway (-230)
Max Holloway is 27-8 as a professional and 23-8 in the UFC. His last fight was a victory over Dustin Poirier with the "BMF" strap on the line. He lost to Ilia Topuria at featherweight before that via knockout. He beat Justin Gaethje via last-second knockout before that in 2024.
Holloway lands 7.20 significant strikes and absorbs 4.74 significant strikes per minute. He lands with 48% accuracy and defends 59% of his opponent's significant strikes. Holloway averages 0.24 takedowns landed per 15 minutes and defends 83% of takedowns. He has an underrated ground game, averaging 0.3 submission attempts per 15 minutes.
Charles Oliveira (+175)
Charles Oliveira is 36-11 (1 NC) as a professional and 24-11 (1 NC) in the UFC. His last fight was a win against Mateusz Gamrot via rear-naked choke. He lost to Ilia Topuria before that via knockout in 2025 in a fight was for the lightweight title. He beat Michael Chandler before that to get a shot at the title.

He averages 2.22 takedowns landed per 15 minutes with 40% accuracy. Oliveira defends 54% of takedowns. Prediction
Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway are both quick starters. They do not take time to find their rhythm; they attack and feel their way into fights. Holloway has a durable chin and has only been knocked out once in his career. Charles Oliveira's chin is not as durable. He has been knocked out five times in the UFC and was finished by Topuria in June 2025.
The first fight occurred in 2015, and Holloway won because Oliveira injured his shoulder. That bout does not hold much weight, as both men have progressed a lot since then. Oliviera was known as a submission artist in his first fight, but he is now a much more polished striker. Holloway is the best boxer in the UFC, however, and Oliveira still gets hit. He does not move his head far enough off the center line, and that is likely his downfall.
Holloway can find big strikes to Oliveira's head, which will lead to a quick finish. Oliveira cannot be reckless in this fight, and he is usually reckless. I think Holloway ends this fight within the first three rounds, and I like the odds on under 3.5 rounds.
Pick: Under 3.5 Rounds (-125)
