UFL Week 9 Odds & Picks: Renegades vs. Showboats (Saturday)

UFL Week 9 Odds & Picks: Renegades vs. Showboats (Saturday)

Week 8 of the 2025 UFL season is in the books. Last week, I went 3-1 on my UFL picks. I had a 1-1 record Friday night in the matchup between the Memphis Showboats and San Antonio Brahmas. The under of 36.5 didn't hit as the game went into overtime, totaling 46 points. However, the Showboats MoneyLine pick hit, as they won by two in overtime, 24-22.

Meanwhile, I went 2-0 in Saturday's matchup between the Michigan Panthers and the Houston Roughnecks. The Panthers easily covered the 6.5-point spread, winning by 12. Furthermore, the over of 44.5 points hit, with the game ending 30-18 thanks to a last-second touchdown by Houston.

However, last week's games are in the books. Now, it's time to move on to Week 9. Let's look at my two favorite UFL picks from Saturday's matchup between the Arlington Renegades and the Memphis Showboats.

UFL Week 9 Picks & Predictions: Renegades vs. Showboats

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Bet #1 - Showboats +4.5 (-110)

The Renegades have lost four consecutive games after starting the season with a 3-1 record. Unfortunately, the four-game losing streak resulted in Arlington missing the playoffs. They were eliminated from the postseason after losing to the D.C. Defenders last week, 33-30. Yet, the Renegades have been competitive in every game during their losing streak, losing by an average of 3.5 points per contest. Furthermore, three of the four losses have been by four or fewer points.

Last week, the Showboats got an overtime victory against the Brahmas, winning 24-22. It was their second victory of the 2025 season after defeating the Birmingham Stallions 24-20 in Week 5. While Memphis has a 2-6 record and will miss the playoffs, they have been competitive in nearly every game except when facing the Panthers. Three of the Showboats' six losses have been by five or fewer points, including two by only one.

Despite having a 2-6 record, Memphis has played well this year. Furthermore, they have been competitive when facing almost everyone but Michigan. Three of their past four games finished with a differential of four points or less. Meanwhile, Arlington's four-game win streak came against three playoff teams. Yet, they lost every game by six or fewer points. While the Showboats likely don't get the win, expect them to make Saturday's game a close contest.

Bet #2 - Renegades MoneyLine (-190)

Unfortunately, the Renegades' four-game losing streak cost them a playoff spot. Yet, they have been one of the better teams in the UFL this season. Arlington ranks fourth in points scored, averaging 22 per game, totaling 24 or more in back-to-back contests. Furthermore, they have the third-best scoring defense, surrendering 18.8 per game. More importantly, the Renegades have handled weaker competition, posting a 2-0 record against teams with a losing record this year.

Meanwhile, the Showboats have played better lately. They got their second win this season against the Brahmas last week with an impressive overtime victory. Unfortunately, Memphis has failed to seal the deal in most of their games this year. Their average margin of defeat is 8.2 points per game, with three of the six defeats being by five or fewer. However, the Showboats' other three losses were by double-digit points, including two by 14 or more.

Arlington has had awful luck lately, losing four consecutive games to playoff teams. Yet, they were one of the favorites to win the UFL Championship before their losing streak. While the Renegades won't play in the postseason, they will want to end the year on a high note. Therefore, expect them to put everything into ending the losing streak on Saturday. Bettors should take Arlington to win the game on the MoneyLine and parlay it with Memphis to cover the 4.5-point spread (+490).
