Week 18 NFL Saturday Football PrizePicks Player Predictions
CJ Stroud's first regular season as a rookie is about to come to a dramatic end. Will he lead the Texans to an improbable playoff appearance, or will he struggle in the biggest game of his professional career? Whatever the answer is to that question, Singletary is in line for a massive game on Saturday.
Singletary has very quietly rushed for 835 yards this season, running for 65 or more in three of his last four games. Though he managed just 14 yards in Week 2 against the Colts, Dameon Pierce was the clear lead back at that point. Things have changed in the last 16 weeks, and the Colts have the sixth-worst defense in all of football. The Texans can take the pressure off their young quarterback by running the ball effectively against a defense that has struggled to stop anyone.
Considering what Rudolph has done in each of his last two games, it's shocking to see this number so low. The Ravens have the sixth-best pass defense in all of football, but Rudolph isn't facing the defense that Baltimore has been putting on the field all season.
With the Ravens looking ahead to the postseason and the Steelers playing for everything, the Steelers should win this game by a significant margin on Saturday. And if they don't, then Rudolph will be throwing late into the game as he tries to secure the victory. He's thrown for 274 and 290 yards in his two starts. Against a group of backups with the season on the line, he will easily clear 200.
After missing all of Week 16 and most of Week 15's game against the Steelers after suffering an injury, Pittman Jr. was quiet in his return to the field in Week 17. He finished with five catches for just 46 yards, his lowest receiving yardage total since October.
Pittman Jr. won't be quiet on Saturday night. He's caught at least eight passes in 10 of his 15 games this season, including the Colts Week 2 victory over the Texans. Even when he doesn't rack up a lot of yards, he's constantly targeted. He's been targeted 150 times this season, an average of 10 per game. No matter what happens in Saturday's game, the Colts are not going to stop throwing Pittman Jr.'s way as they try to secure a playoff berth. If he'd had a better performance last week, this would be set at eight.
