Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever
In a contest filled with fantastic options, we will be looking to the odds on favorite to sink the first basket tonight. A'ja Wilson has scored the opening basket in five games for the Aces. Wilson leads the league with 7.1 first quarter points per game on 5..3 attempts. The forward for the Aces is shooting 52% from the field through the first quarter. The four-time MVP is consistently one of the top candidates to hit the first bucket of the night.
Wilson is averaging 6.8 points in the first quarter over the last 10 games. The forward for the Aces last scored the first basket on July 3rd, and is absolutely due to score the first basket in the next few games. This should be a highly entertaining contest, and getting Wilson going early is more than likely the plan for tonight.
Pick: A'ja Wilson (+390)
Los Angeles Sparks vs. Minnesota Lynx
Olivia Miles faces a Los Angeles squad that are on the second leg of a back-to-back played on the road. Olivia Miles has an opportunity to immediately attack what could be a sluggish Sparks team, and we feel there's a very good chance this will be the case. Miles has shown tremendous skill in attacking the basket, while being able to finish at the rim from either side of the rim
The guard for the Lynx has scored the first basket on two occasions in 2026. We can easily envision a scenario where Minnesota claim the first possession, and Miles puts her head down, and takes the ball to the basket for a quick two points. The rookie out of Notre Dame is scoring 6.6 points in the first quarter on 57% shooting.
Pick: Olivia Miles (+600)
Toronto Tempo vs. Portland Fire
The popular option for this contest is Marina Mabrey (+600) , and it's absolutely worth a sprinkle given the tremendous return for a player that has scored the first basket in five games this season. We are going to dig a little deeper, and focus on a player that highly benefited from the return of the previously mentioned Mabfey.
Maria Conde scored 17 points on Tuesday, with five three-pointers. Conde combined for 15 points the two previous games when Mabrey was unable to suit up due to a lingering neck issue. The forward for the Tempo made 50% of attempts from the field, and 50% from beyond the arc on Tuesday. Conde offers a massive ROI, and albeit a long shot, it's worth entertaining given the strong performance last contest.
Pick: Maria Conde (+1000)
