Kamilla Cardoso has scored the First Basket four times in a 10 games this season (40%). It stands to reason the tallest woman on the court (6’7) scores first more than anyone but the return is juiced to 3x. It also stands to reason she wins the majority of tips for Chicago and she was won 70% of tipoffs this season.
Azura Stevens has two First Baskets this season and both of them have come in the past four games. Chicago has been devastated by injuries already this season so the likes of Rickea Jackson and Gabriela Jaquez who scored the the early non-Cardoso First Baskets are gone competition wise. The only other healthy First Basket scorer for Chicago is Skylar Diggins who comes in at +760 and hers came in the last three games so she could be worth a shot if you don’t want either of the chalkier plays or just favor guard play early.
