WNBA Player Prop & Bets: Tuesday (8/25)

The field is almost set for the WNBA postseason; Dallas can clinch a spot tonight. But seeding is far from decided, which means we can probably still expect the stars to live up to their respective hype (or at least try to). Figure out which ones will, and you've got some potential winning WNBA player props. Here are my top picks for tonight's games.

Tuesday’s Best WNBA Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Sydney Taylor Over 12.5 Points (-122)

Injuries have really hit Sydney Taylor hard lately, limiting her to just five games this month. In three games since returning, she went over this total just once. But that one time was against Golden State. Prior to her injury stint, she went over this total in 10 straight games.

Against a struggling Connecticut team playing without Brittney Griner and Leila Lacan, Taylor will hit the over again.

Paige Bueckers Over 20.5 Points (-130)

Paige Bueckers is averaging 20.6 points per game this season and is coming off a dominant performance against Seattle last Sunday, in which she scored 32 points. She has gone over this total in five of her last six games. With a playoff spot on the line in front of a home crowd, Bueckers will put on a show tonight. She had 21 points against the Fire in Portland on July 22nd.

Carla Leite Under 16.5 Points (-115)

Carla Leite leads the Fire in scoring with 15.8 points per game. She averaged 17.1 points per game over Portland's last 10 outings. However, in two prior games versus Dallas, she scored just 12 and 10 points. With the playoffs on the line for Dallas, I imagine their defense will focus on keeping Leite from heating up.

Shakira Austin Over 17.5 Points (-108)

Shakira Austin leads the team in scoring with 17 points per game this season, but she is averaging 22 per game over her last 10 contests. In the last 10 games, Phoenix has allowed 10 different players to go over this mark. Defense is winning games for the Mystics, but they still need to score, and Austin is their most reliable scoring option. She had 19 points when Washington beat Phoenix on August 9th.

Kahleah Copper Under 20.5 Points (-120)

Kahleah Copper showed out in her last game, scoring 38 points against Portland. However, she had not scored more than 20 points in five consecutive games before that, which included a 15-point night against the Mystics on August 9th. While Copper is one of the more prolific scoring threats in the league, Washington's defense is no joke. They limited her a couple of weeks ago and should do the same tonight.
