Diamond Miller Under 9.5 Points (-113)
Diamond Miller dropped 21 points last night, but I'm still taking her to score in single digits tonight. She's averaging 9.1 points per game this season, and she's scored nine or fewer points in four of her last seven games.
In her most recent game against the Valkyries, Miller scored 14 points, but when she played them earlier this season, she scored just four. She's simply too inconsistent to trust against the best scoring defense in the league, especially when the Valkyries have held the Sun to 70 or fewer points in both games this season. Plus, this is the second night of a back-to-back for Miller.
Flau'jae Johnson Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+140)
With Natisha Hiedeman set to miss this game, I'm shocked that Flau’jae Johnson is heavily favored to make fewer than 1.5 three-pointers. Hiedeman leads the Storm with 1.9 made three-pointers per game. Johnson is third on the team with 1.3 made threes per game.
It's not just that Hiedeman is out. It's also that the Tempo are terrible at defending threes. The Tempo allow 9.4 made threes per game, which is the second-most in the league. Teams are also shooting 34.9% from deep against them this season.
Johnson has made at least one three-pointer in five consecutive games, and she just knocked down five of her 10 attempts against the Wings on Sunday. While she hasn't made more than one three-pointer in a game against the Tempo this season, she also hasn't faced them since May.
Dominique Malonga Over 19.5 Points (-122)
Dominique Malonga has scored 19 or fewer points in three consecutive games. Yet, this is such a good matchup for her that oddsmakers still have her over listed at -122.
Malonga is averaging just 17 points per game, but she's scored at least 21 points in three of her last six games. Now she faces a defense allowing a league-high 93.7 points per game.
Malonga only faced the Tempo once this season. In that game, she scored 21 points, knocking down nine of her 19 shots. Like with Flau’jae Johnson, Malonga should have a better-than-usual performance with Natisha Hiedeman out.
