The WNBA regular season continues Saturday, September 19, as teams settle in after the 17-day break for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. The schedule for Saturday includes three games, with the Phoenix Mercury and Dallas Wings meeting at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+, the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream tipping off at 7:00 p.m. ET on Prime Video, and the Seattle Storm and Golden State Valkyries battling at 9:00 p.m. ET, also on Prime Video.
We’ll provide a couple of WNBA same-game parlays (SGPs) below, as we look to increase our bankroll.

Thursday’s Best WNBA Same Game Parlays

Phoenix Mercury (+270) at Dallas Wings (-355) | O/U 172.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Wings -8.5 (-1100)
- Leg 2: Under 172.5 Points (-110)

The Mercury (15-26) and Wings (25-16) meet at 1:00 p.m. ET in the early game on Saturday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas in the front end of a home-and-home.
Phoenix has since been eliminated from the postseason chase, so it plays for pride in the Metroplex. Dallas, on the other hand, is jockeying for seeding in the postseason, and it is a half-game clear of the New York Liberty for the seventh seed, while tied with the Washington Mystics in overall record. The Wings are also 1.5 games back of the Indiana Fever, and just two games back of the Atlanta Dream. With three games remaining on the schedule, all against losing teams, Dallas can improve its seeding rather dramatically if it wins out.
The Mercury have managed a 9-12 record on the road, while the Wings are an impressive 15-6 at home. These teams have met just once previously this season, with Dallas posting an 85-70 victory as 6.5-point favorites on June 11 in Arlington as the Under (169.5) cashed.
Phoenix returned from the FIBA break with a 94-91 win at Portland, but it just missed as 3.5-point favorites as the Over (171.5) cashed. Phoenix has won back-to-back games, but it is just 1-5 against the spread (ATS) in the past six outings. The Over has a 3-2 edge in the past five games, and 5-3 across the previous eight outings.
Dallas punished the Los Angeles Sparks 97-77 on Thursday as 8.5-point favorites as the Under (178.5) cashed, as the Wings have won and covered five in a row, while the Under is 7-1 across the previous eight outings. The past four wins and covers have come with the Wings being favored by 8.5 or more points.
Let’s take Dallas laying the points, while going Under on the total.
For the player props, Jessica Shepard returned from the break with a triple-double against the Sparks, logging 13 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. In the first meeting with Phoenix in June, she had 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. We’ll simply play a combo for Shepard to get to 30+ combined points, rebounds and assists to get us over the 4X hump.

The Sky (15-26) and the Dream (27-14) meet at Gateway Arena at College Park, and like the game above, we have an eliminated team against a team working on seeding. As such, we’ll be backing the playoff-bound team.
Angel Reese gets to face her former team again. In the most recent meeting on July 19 at Gateway, the Dream won 93-91, with Reese going 3 of 13 from the field, finishing with just eight points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 20 minutes, and Reese was forced to leave with a knee injury. In her only full game against the Sky at Wintrust Arena on June 9, she went for 17 points and 17 boards.
Chicago has dropped four straight games, allowing 85+ in each of the setbacks. That includes an ugly 110-80 loss against the Washington Mystics in the return from the FIBA break. The Sky are also 0-4 ATS in the skid, while the Under is on a 6-2 run in the past eight outings.
Atlanta embarrassed the visiting Connecticut Sun 103-59 as a 17.5-point favorite on Thursday as the Under (169.5) hung on. The Dream have won six of the past seven games, while going 5-2 ATS in the span since Aug. 18. The Under is 3-1 in the past four games, and 8-4 across the past 12 outings. We’ll definitely be going low on the total, and based on Atlanta having something to play for, and its strong cover against the Sun, we’ll take the favorite, too.
It’s always a good bet to take Reese to record a double-double, and really, it’s not the rebounds that concerns us, but the points can be a little tougher. But, she should still get to at least 10+, a mark she has hit in eight in a row.
We’ll also back a Rhyne Howard combo, looking to get to at least 25+ combined points, rebounds and assists. She went for 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds despite a poor 3-of-14 shooting night. She should be much better offensively.
