Atlanta Dream (-380) at Los Angeles Sparks (+300) | O/U 180.5 (-110/-110)

The Dream (22-13) and the Sparks (12-23) square off at Crypto.com Arena in what is expected to be a mismatch.

Atlanta has won seven consecutive meetings and gone 6-1 against the spread (ATS) over that span, dating back to May 15th, 2024. That includes a 101-92 victory by the Dream in Atlanta in the first matchup on July 13th, although L.A. did hang on for a cover at some shops as a 9.5-point underdog, while pushing at some others. The over (181.5) easily cashed, and that was across the board.

The Dream has managed a 13-22 against the spread (ATS) mark this season, while the over has a slight 18-17 edge. On the road, Atlanta has won 10 out of 17 matchups straight-up, too.

For the Sparks, they’re 16-17 ATS this season, while the over is 19-15. The Sparks haven’t defended their home floor very well, going just 5-11. Los Angeles threw in the towel a few weeks ago, too, dealing Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury, officially waving the white flag on the season.

Atlanta picked up an impressive 97-82 victory as 3.5-point underdogs in Las Vegas on Tuesday, as the under (179.5) cashed. The Dream have won three of the past four outings, although they’re just 2-3 ATS in the past five games, 3-7 ATS in the previous 10 outings and 4-16 ATS in the past 20 contests. Again, the under is 3-0 in the past three games and 5-1 in the previous six outings.

For L.A., it enters on a five-game skid and is 1-3 ATS in the past four outings. The under has cashed in three in a row, and six of the past seven games, too. We’re going to side with the Sparks catching more than four buckets at home, however. Los Angeles is 5-0 ATS in the past five tries as an underdog of 8.5+ points, and we’ll lean under on the total based on the trends for both sides.

As far as player props are concerned, we can 4X our parlay as long as Angel Reese gets to 12+ rebounds. She has grabbed 10+ rebounds in nine consecutive games since the All-Star break, including 14+ boards in four of the past five outings.

Connecticut Sun (+750) at Las Vegas Aces (-1200) | O/U 167.5 (-112/-108)

The Sun (9-25) and the Aces (24-14) square off at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas in the second end of the nationally televised doubleheader on Amazon Prime Video.

While the Aces continue to dominate this series, winning back-to-back sets at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on May 13-15 in the first two meetings this season, the Sun are 2-1 ATS in the past three meetings in the series. The over/under split in the first two battles, while the under has an 8-1 edge in the past nine in the series.

Connecticut doesn’t give us much, as far as season trends are concerned, as it is 17-17 both ATS and on the over/under. The Sun is just 3-13 straight up (SU) on the road, however. Las Vegas is 17-19 ATS, while the over has a slight 19-18 edge. At home, the Aces are a rather marginal 11-7.

While the Sun is out of it, in terms of the postseason, they have won two of the past four games straight up, both against Western Conference teams - Los Angeles and Phoenix. The Sun are 3-1 ATS in the past four outings, too, showing some signs of life, while the under is a perfect 5-0 in the previous five contests.

The Aces dropped back-to-back games at home against the Dream and Lynx, both playoff contenders, while going just 2-4 SU/ATS in the past six. In fact, all four losses and non-covers came in games against the Dream and Lynx. The under is 4-0 in the past four outings, too.

Las Vegas is 3-0 ATS in the past three games as an 8.5-point or more favorite, but it is just 5-4 ATS in nine such games this season. That includes a 1-1 ATS mark against Connecticut. For the Sun, they’re 0-3 ATS in the past three tries as an underdog of 9.5 or more points. As such, we’ll hold our breath and take the Aces laying the big points, and hope that Las Vegas plays to its capabilities at home. And, if playing it individually, go under on the total - and go rather aggressively on that. But be sure to include it in your SGP.

For player props, in games against overmatched opponents, it’s fun to take A’ja Wilson to just go off. Sure, there’s a chance she shuts it down early if the team does what it is supposed to do and grabs a giant lead, but she’ll likely be a huge contributor to that lead if that is how things go. She went for 45 points in 32 minutes in the 101-94 win in Connecticut on May 13th, so we don’t necessarily need a blowout to get Wilson across the finish line. She can do it on points alone. Wilson is averaging 33.5 points, seven rebounds and two assists in two meetings versus the Sun this season.
