We are treated to a two-game playoff slate in the WNBA today. It's the beginning of postseason basketball, and the stars will no doubt be giving their all in an attempt to advance their team into the next round or stave off elimination. Las Vegas Aces @ Indiana Fever
Leg 1: Caitlin Clark 20+ Points (-210)
Caitlin Clark has every reason to want to rebound from the Fever's Game 1 performance. Clark scored 15 points against Las Vegas, while dishing out 10 dimes. The assists are definitely not the issue. It's the scoring. We expect a quick turnaround for Clark in the points department. Indiana will need their backcourt to produce 55-60 combined points from Clark and Kelsey Mitchell if they want to extend the series to three games.
Clark finished with 20 points in the last regular-season contest against Las Vegas. The Fever guard has scored at least 20 points in five out of the last seven games. Clark failed to reach 20 points in just five of the previous 15 games. We expect the lethal scoring option to dig deep in this contest.
Twenty points should be an easy clear if Clark is even remotely more active and productive in Game 2. The Indiana guard scored 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field and 3-10 from beyond the arc. Clark did not attempt a single free throw for the second consecutive game. That streak will more than likely end tonight.
Leg 2: Aces Moneyline (-102)
The Fever are in trouble. There's no other way to put it without being disingenuous. Las Vegas ran Indiana off the court in Game 1. The Aces held Indiana's two best scoring options to 25 points combined. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell shot 10-of-33 from the field and 4-of-16 from beyond the arc. They normally account for 47 of Indiana's points per game.
What makes matters even worse is Coach Stephanie White’s decision to formulate lineups that have never been on the court together in the regular season. This is the playoffs. It came across as a coach trying to do anything to stop the Aces, rather than a team that looked confident in their rotations and defense.
It's not something you can fix in two days, with travel included. The flaws seem deeply rooted in fundamentals, and that's the fastest way to a first-round exit. Something has been wrong with the Fever since returning from the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. We expect them to have the whole offseason to figure that out after tonight.
Leg 3: A'ja Wilson to Record a Double-Double (-176)
To close out our first parlay, we are going with a very straightforward selection. A'ja Wilson absolutely dominated Game 1 of the series, and the Fever never made any defensive adjustments to make things even remotely difficult for the four-time MVP on offense or on the glass. Wilson shot 15-of-19 from the field - including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc - while adding 16 boards. Truly a very special performance.
Yet, as the all-world forward stated after Game 1, "It's her job." Wilson does her job at the highest level possible, and double-doubles become collateral damage in the wake of her dominance. The Aces forward has recorded at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in three consecutive games.

Minnesota Lynx @ New York Liberty
New York shocked top-seed Minnesota on their home floor in Game 1. This is why, going into the playoffs, New York (as well as Washington) were considered a team no one really wanted to match up with in a three-game series.
This season has been a roller-coaster ride for the Liberty. New York has had to play most of the season without major offseason acquisition Satou Sabally, who is dealing with personal issues. The team hasn't looked particularly good for most of the season.
That changed over the last 15 games (10-5), and the Liberty looked primed and ready to possibly dethrone the top seed in only two games. The problem is, we have seen this story play out before many times with the Lynx over the last two seasons.
After a bad loss, Minnesota tends to bounce back strongly. We saw it as recently as the last regular-season contest against Indiana. They are not going quietly into the night. After the first game of the series, we expect a major offensive adjustment, which should keep the game within six points at the end of the contest.
Leg 2: H2H Player Points: Breanna Stewart vs. Napheesa Collier -Breanna Stewart (-253)
Breanna Stewart is not only a special basketball talent but also easily one of the most decorated players ever in the WNBA. She is a winner. The veteran forward simply does what it takes to win at every level and in any environment.
Stewart scored 34 points on Sunday in Game 1, going 11-of-18 from the field and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Postseason Stewart is coming for nothing short of business. Napheesa Collier may struggle to provide such powerful scoring numbers.
Collier averaged 16 points this season, with a high of 24. In two games against the Liberty this season, Collier scored 26 points and was 0-for-5 from three-point distance. Stewart is averaging 27.5 points over three regular-season and one playoff game against Minnesota. She scored fewer than 24 points in only one game against the Lynx.
Leg 3: Olivia Miles Under 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Olivia Miles is going through the painful reality that the lights get bright fast in the WNBA. Gone are the days of the defense not picking the phenomenal rookie up full court, and now the physicality of the playoffs is on display. Teams are fighting for their season and, in some cases, a hefty contract. Miles is showing signs of frustration at times, and we think the 29.5 total for this combo prop can be leveraged into the final piece of this parlay.
Miles averaged 19.8 points per game on 49.2% shooting from the field in her first season. The young and talented guard added six assists and 4.7 rebounds per game as well. This is the catalyst for the 29.5 threshold tonight, and it seems too high for our comfort.
In the first playoff game of Miles' career, the No. 2 overall draft pick scored 11 points on 3-of-12 shooting from the field, with eight assists and one rebound. While we expect an improvement tonight, 30 combined points + rebounds + assists is a lot.
