On top of pinpointing our top prop bets by star rating, we can take it a step further by identifying which five-star props also have a 100% hit rate over the player's last five games. You can also filter hit rates over the past 15 games, but let's not push our luck.
Tanner Gordon Over 5.5 Hits Allowed
Last Week: 0-0 | Season Record: 4-3 | Best Odds: -121 at DraftKings Sportsbook
Jonathan Aranda did record a hit two weeks ago, just not the one we were looking for. He went 1-for-3 with a double, not the single we needed to cash our bet. Neither the MLB prop bet cheat sheet nor the WNBA prop bet cheat sheet featured any 5-star bets with a 100% hit rate over the previous five games last week, so we had to skip the week.
The MLB prop bet cheat sheet today features 29 player props with a 100% hit rate over the last five games - with only one labeled as a 5-star bet.
Today’s 5-star prop bet market is one we haven’t touched on yet this season - pitcher hits allowed, bringing us to Tanner Gordon over 5.5 hits allowed. The Rockies pitcher has allowed six hits or more in five straight games this season.
While the BettingPros MLB prop bet cheat sheet has Gordon projected for 5.1 hits allowed against the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park today, that’s close enough to consider this an over bet. And it doesn’t get much better in terms of matchup with Gordon’s opponent versus prop ranking of 30th, the best matchup of the day.
The Rockies hurler has been a hitting piñata this season, giving up 62 hits in 45.1 innings, which equates to a rate of 1.37 hits allowed per inning and 5.64 hits allowed per game.
Fellow Rockies pitcher Michael Lorenzen leads the league in hits allowed, being knocked up for 129 hits (in 92 innings), or 1.40 hits allowed per inning. That shows you how vulnerable Gordon has been this season.

In his last five games, Gordon has allowed an average of 7.8 hits per game (1.60 hits per inning), with a high of 12 hits allowed to the Texas Rangers. He faced tonight’s opponent, the San Francisco Giants, twice during that five-game span, allowing six hits in both outings, one of which lasted just three innings. In his only other career start versus the Giants in 2024, Gordon allowed nine hits in six innings.
The Giants come into this game with 814 hits, the fourth-most in the Majors, averaging 8.8 hits per game. In 43 career at-bats versus current Giants hitters, Gordon has allowed 13 hits and a .302 opponents’ batting average, with four Giants recording multiple hits (Willy Adames, Rafael Devers, Bryce Eldridge, Drew Gilbert).
The Giants have Gordon’s number, and should muster up at least six hits against him for the third straight time this season.
