Miami Dolphins vs. Atlanta Falcons

I would’ve rather gotten the Falcons at -7 or -6.5, but I’ll settle for 7.5 and trust the Falcons.

This might be Mike McDaniel’s final game as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins just lost 31-6 to the Cleveland Browns, and there’s probably no way in coming back from that.

The Dolphins are already 0-4 on the road, and that -7.5 started at -105 and has now jumped to -110. It’s only a matter of time until this -7.5 number becomes -8 or -8.5.

The Falcons watched their two-game winning streak snap against the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Still, the defense held the Niners to 20 points on the road. The offense just couldn’t stay consistent and click.

However, against the Dolphins, Atlanta’s offense should be fine. Miami has allowed at least 21 points in each of its last five games, along with at least 27 points in each of the previous three games. Miami has lost three consecutive games, and before that game, barely scraped by a New York Jets team that somehow scored 21 against them.

Atlanta’s had some hiccups this season. But the offense has plenty of star power, while the defense has been relatively consistent this year. I’ll back the Falcons at -7.5 in what should be a blowout win at home.

Pick: Falcons -7.5 (-110)

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

Everyone wants to point to the Giants beating the Eagles on Thursday Night Football a couple of weeks ago. New York utterly dominated that game against the Eagles, 34-17.

But now the Eagles are home, coming off a monster 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Jalen Hurts threw the football well, totaling 326 yards on 19-of-23 passing. Saquon Barkley hasn’t looked as good as last season, but his time will come, especially if the passing game continues to spark the offense.

Meanwhile, the Giants held a 19-point lead over the Broncos, but two missed extra points and some weird decision-making in the fourth quarter led to a monster comeback by the Broncos in a 33-32 win. The Giants had to head home from Denver with a really poor taste in their mouth. This is the type of loss that derails a team’s confidence and creates fights more than agreements.

Anyway, the Eagles will certainly have a chip on their shoulder after losing to the Giants on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. Coming off a win, expect Philadelphia to take it to New York this time around.

The Eagles were -7.5 (+100) and have now been moved to -6.5 (-125). Grab the Eagles at -6.5. That’s the number we’re looking for.

Pick: Eagles -6.5 (-125)
