Friday’s Best MLB Betting System Plays

Here are our top plays of the day from the popular MLB betting systems at BettingPros.

+1.5 RL

The +1.5 RL system looks at underdogs on the run line at least +101.

Most underdogs are typically favored when you add 1.5. However, the one team that isn’t today is the White Sox.

This system has earned an 11.4% return on investment (ROI) and added 21.74 units to the 191 units wagered.

That said, the White Sox will take on Mets starter Tylor Megill. Megill hasn’t started in a few weeks for the Mets. However, he’s allowed a .169 ISO and wOBA of .330 to 210 batters this season. He’s been far from excellent and has allowed more than 52% of hard contact with 25% of line drives.

While the White Sox haven’t hit consistently against righties, the projected lineup has only hit 38.1% of ground balls and 25.1% of fly balls, with 28.1% of line drives over the last month against righties. That’s noteworthy.

On the other hand, the White Sox will send out Jonathan Cannon. If nothing else, he’ll be able to limit walks and potentially add more strikeouts against a Mets team that has struck out nearly 30% of the time against righties over the last 30 days.

Take a chance with the White Sox at +1.5 (+114).

  • White Sox +1.4 (+114)

Under Cold Streak

The Under Cold Streak system looks at the under market in hits. The system input includes a player’s under on hits needing to cost -250 to +130 and the player must have earned a hit in fewer than 80% of games this season.

In addition, the criteria are as follows:

  • Last 5 Games: Over in 0 to 1
  • Last 10 Games: Over in 0 to 1
  • Last 15 Games: Over in 0 to 3
  • Last 20 Games: Over in 0 to 4

Emmanuel Rivera is the player that sticks out the most of the 11 upcoming bets. Rivera is currently on the Orioles, where he’s hit a .000 ISO and wOBA of .215 against his last 17 lefties. While Rivera is hitting in Coors Field, he’s been super patient at the plate and doesn’t mind earning a walk. He’s also hit 50% of grounders and has a .100 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) over the last 30 days against lefties.

Take his under.

  • Emmanuel Rivera Under 1.5 Hits (-250)

Underdog Strikeout Unders

This Underdog Strikeout Unders system has cashed in on a 13% ROI this season on 398 wagers. Bettors have earned a win percentage of 63.7% and a profit of nearly 52 units throughout the season using this system.

The system input looks at pitchers who are underdogs with fewer than 30% hit percentage on strikeout rate. The pitcher also can’t have hit the over in more than three games throughout their last 10 starts.

Zac Gallen is one of two upcoming plays in this system. He’s only struck out 20.3% of batters over the last 30 days and will now face a Dodgers lineup that doesn’t have many super high strikeout rates. No batter has struck out more than 30% of the time in the Los Angeles lineup over the last month, yet the Dodgers have even batters with a wOBA of at least .311 against righties in that same time.

At +105, I’ll gladly take my chances with Gallen to go under 4.5 strikeouts.

  • Zac Gallen Under 4.5 Ks (+105)
