MLB Player Props & Bets: Friday (7/10)
Season Record: 27-16
Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 Hits (-245 at Caesars Sportsbook)
Freeman has been rock solid for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season and comes into this game with a .296 batting average and at least one hit in nine of his last 10 games. He has hit .373 over the last 14 days. Freeman will face off against Eduardo Rodriguez tonight in a matchup against a pitcher he has hit .500 against over 20 at-bats. Only four of those hits went for extra bases, but a .500 batting average against a specific pitcher is sure to pique the interest of most, especially when attached to a strong hitter like Freeman.
Eduardo has had his best year in the Majors this season in terms of ERA and WHIP, even if his strikeout numbers have dropped. He will toe the rubber with a 7-3 record, but against a team that he has faced twice already this season. Freeman had three hits in the first game against Rodriguez this season, but was blanked in the last outing for a .375 average against the Venezuelan on the year. As usual, keep this to a one unit wager, do not chase a one unit return. Fire up the Over on Freeman for Friday night's slate.
Seiya Suzuki Over 0.5 Hits (-245 at Caesars Sportsbook)
Seiya disappointed us last week and is up against another pitcher who presents some risk. Hunter Greene has been excellent over the past two seasons but has made just one start in 2026 that saw him give up seven hits, eight earned runs, and four walks. He will be much better this season, but Suzuki appears to have figured him out regardless. Suzuki is .444 lifetime in 18 at-bats versus Greene, with a whopping six of those eight hits going for extra bases. The juice on this prop suggests that the total will shift to 1.5 prior to game time, so lock this one in sooner or later if you feel comfortable with it. Slap the Over on Seiya for Friday night's MLB action at Caesars.
Paul Goldschmidt Over 0.5 Hits (-190 at BetMGM)
Paul Goldschmidt has been in a funk for the New York Yankees. Batting .301 on June 16th, the veteran slugger has plunged to .257 on the season. However, he will have a date with a familiar foe in Zack Littell, one whom he has dominated over 12 at-bats for a .500 average. Goldschmidt has been much better outside of New York this season, batting .303 on the road while being below the Mendoza line at home.
His at-bats against Litell will be limited as he is slated to be the bulk reliever for opener Carson Palmquist. Littell looks fully exploitable, not only because of Goldschmidt's history of success against him but also because Littell has struggled to the tune of a 5.02 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. Palmquist has been even worse this season and will man the slab with a 7.11 ERA and 1.58 WHIP.
There is some risk here due to his poor play as of late, but with two horrible pitchers set to take the mound, there is reason to expect the former NL MVP to bounce back tonight. Grab the Over on Goldschmidt for Friday night's action.
