Chicago Cubs @ Milwaukee Brewers MLB Same Game Parlay

The Brewers will begin today’s game with Robert Gasser on the hill. Gasser has only faced 71 batters, but he’s held batters to a .016 ISO and woBA of .271 with 50.8% of ground balls. He’s done everything exceptionally well except for adding strikeouts against righties.

Gasser has faced 58 righties and only has 3.4% of strikeouts against them. He’s been dominant against lefties with 30.8% of strikeouts. But he’s only going to face Cody Bellinger, who has struck out 14.6% of the time against lefties. The rest of the lineup will likely be right-handed. Therefore, Gasser’s strikeout rate probably won’t improve today.

On the other hand, Justin Stelle will get the start for Chicago. His strikeout rate has dipped from last season. Ultimately, he added 24.4% of strikeouts last year but has only 21.3% this season. It’s still a small sample size of 108 batters, but he’s still added over 20% of strikeouts against both sides of the plate.

That said, the Brewers have eight batters who have struck out more than 20% of the time against lefties in the projected lineup. Plus, there aren’t many high-potential batters in the lineup. Only Gary Sanchez really stands out, so don’t be surprised if Steele gets through six innings without much damage.

Sanchez has hit a .414 ISO and wOBA of .439 against lefties this season. He’s also struck out 18.8% of the time and has hit 69.6% of hard contact with a team-high 17.4% barrel percentage against lefties. He’s the one batter with a really good matchup against Steele.

San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB Same Game Parlay

We’ll start with the Phillies. Blake Snell is on the mound for the Giants, and he’s been weak against righties since the beginning of the year. Snell has allowed a .190 ISO and wOBA of .437 to his first 67 righties. In addition, Snell has struck out only 19.4% of righties and has allowed 51.1% of hard contact.

Snell will face JT Realmuto and Alec Bohm, who are both lefty killers as right-handed batters. Realmuto has hit a .218 ISO and wOBA of .444 with only 18.6% of strikeouts. On the other hand, Bohm has smashed a .182 ISO and wOBA of .370 with just 12.5% of strikeouts against lefties.

On the other side, it’ll be Taijuan Walker for the Phillies. He’s another veteran who has struggled this season. The right-hander has allowed a .214 ISO and wOBA of .421 to his first 63 lefties. He’s also struck out only 17.5% of lefties and has allowed a high rate of line drives and fly balls.

He’ll take on Patrick Bailey of the Giants, who will bat left-handed tonight. He’s knocked a .221 ISO and wOBA of .376 with only 18% of strikeouts and should have some really good at-bats against Walker.
