Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers

The Astros are set to pitch Tatsuya Imai tonight. He’s a right-handed pitcher who has struck out 32.1% of his last 78 batters faced. He’s earned 28.6% of strikeouts against lefties and 37.9% of strikeouts against righties over the last month.

Imai battles a projected Tigers lineup that has five players who have struck out at least 27.4% of the time against righties over the last 30 days. Imai should see an uptick in strikeouts tonight.

Meanwhile, Troy Melton will pitch for the Tigers. He’s another righty, but he’s struggled with strikeouts. He’s added just 15.5% of strikeouts over the last 30 days with a 15.2% strikeout rate this season. Ultimately, the Astros have just three batters with a strikeout rate higher than 19.6%. With a limited number of targets, take Melton to go under 3.5 strikeouts.

Melton has allowed 34.6% of fly balls and has induced just 35.6% of ground balls against lefties. That plays out well for Yordan Alvarez, who has a .361 ISO and a wOBA of .565 against righties over the last month.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The Diamondbacks-Cardinals game has a lot of potential to be high scoring.

Zac Gallen is on the mound for Arizona. While he’s a notable pitcher, Gallen has allowed a .239 ISO and a wOBA of .449 to his last 123 batters. He’s allowed a .262 ISO and a wOBA of .516 to lefties.

Alec Burleson is a lefty for St. Louis, who has a .388 ISO and a wOBA of .497 against his last 74 righties. He’s in line to perform well. Additionally, Lars Nootbar has hit a .191 ISO and a wOBA of .387 against righties over the last month. He’s another lefty you’ll want to consider adding to your parlay.

On the other hand, Michael McGreevy has watched his last 48 righties hit a .244 ISO and a wOBA of .314. He’s a righty himself, but has given up an 11.1% barrel rate to righties over the last 30 days.

Gabriel Moreno has a .222 ISO and a wOBA of .434 against righties over the last 30 days.

Parlay Odds: +727
