We’ve got another exciting slate of games in the MLB today!
It’s Sunday, which also means it’s a getaway day for many teams, so we’ve got a lot of early action in the league.
That said, here are some of my favorite Sleeper picks for the day.

Sunday's Best MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions
Jazz Chisholm Over 1.5 Total bases (1.85X)
Kyle Gibson will pitch for the Cardinals tonight. The veteran righty struggled against lefties last year, allowing a .194 ISO and a wOBA of .356 to 407 lefties. He also struck out only 17.9% of those lefties.
This season, it’s already looking like more of the same. Against ten lefties in his first start, Gibson allowed a .333 ISO and struck out only 20% of lefties. He also allowed 42.9% of fly balls and induced 14.3% of ground balls.
Dating back to last season, Jazz Chisholm has destroyed right-handed pitching. The lefty has hit a .233 ISO and a wOBA of .359 in his previous 316 plate appearances against righties. He’s also slugged 48.9% of hard contact. Therefore, we’ll back Chisholm to earn at least two total bases tonight.
Mike Yastrzemski Over .5 Total Bases (1.53X)
Mike Yastrzemski has been the most consistent hitter in the San Francisco lineup against righties since last season. He’s hit a .231 ISO and a wOBA of .355 against his last 298 righties faced.
Tonight, he’ll take on Matt Waldron of the Padres. Waldron is a right-handed thrower who has already allowed a .463 wOBA to his first ten lefties this season.
Last year, Waldron faced 85 lefties and allowed a .187 ISO and a wOBA of .348. He was far from good last year and will be the weakest link in the San Diego rotation this year.
Take Yastrzemski to earn at least one total base. Just one single would get the job done.
Tanner Houck Under 2.5 Earned Runs (1.60X)
Tanner Houck pitched a gem in his first outing of the season. He struck out nearly 48% of batters faced and allowed no walks with an ISO of .048 and a wOBA of .145.
He’ll take on an Angels lineup that has struck out 29% of the time, dating back to last year. This same lineup hit just a .297 wOBA since last season, with only Mike Trout, Brandon Drury, and Mickey Moniak hitting at a high rate against righties.
Houck won’t sustain the success he had in his first start, but he’ll surely continue his dominant beginning to the season against the Angels.
Ronel Blanco Under 4.5 Ks (1.88X)
I’ll show some guts. After throwing a no-hitter, I’m taking Ronel Blanco to go Under on his strikeouts tonight.
Blanco struck out only 23% of batters last year after facing 226 batters. He also struck out just 24.1% of batters in his no-hitter. He had a high number because he faced 29 batters in the game.
That said, the Rangers’ projected lineup has only struck out 21.8% of the time dating back to last season. There’s only really three targets in the lineup, between Adolis Garcis, Evan Carter, and Jared Walsh. However, those three also have serious power against right-handed throwers.
