Yesterday’s results were solid, going 2-1 on the Sleeper picks. Let’s see if we can string together a mid-week sweep today. Here are three of my favorite MLB Sleeper picks and pitcher props for Wednesday, May 29.

The “bad” prices can have value too. George Kirby hardly ever walks more than a batter in a game. He has stayed under this in 10 out of 11 starts, ranking in the 98th percentile in BB% among all pitchers. Last year was no different either, as Kirby stayed under this in 27 of his 31 starts. As American League West foes, Kirby has faced the Astros numerous times and has a paltry 2.1% BB% across 94 plate appearances. They are 19th in walk rate (8.3%) against righties on the season.
To make up for the “lack of value” above, let’s get sweaty before a pitch is even thrown. Ty Blach does not strike anyone out. I don’t know how this is possible, but he is in the zeroth percentile in K% (10.5%) and CSW% (22.9%) among all starters. He pretty much relies on a sinker for the most part and fills the zone with it at around 89 miles per hour (MPH), looking to generate weak contact. Blach hasn’t had a very deep pitch count either, going just 76, 70, 64 and 78 pitches across his four starts this season. He has stayed under this line in three of his four outings. The Guardians are 26th in K% (20.1%) on the season, too. That is a combo stat, however, and for whatever reason they have struck out at a higher clip facing southpaws. Still, at this price point and with his skills, let’s roll with the less than here.
These aren’t the Yankees you used to know. They’re still bashing the baseball, albeit with a significantly lower strikeout rate, save for Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge. The Yankees are 20th in K% (20.9%) against southpaws this season as well, and Tyler Anderson isn’t exactly known for his strikeouts. He ranks in the 20th percentile in K% and 42nd in CSW%. He has stayed under this line in six of his 10 starts this season.
