The track record of Patrick Corbin is evident, and he's been one of the least efficient pitchers over the last few years. He has the most losses and earned runs allowed over the previous two seasons, and his current 74 earned is the most in the National League.
Aaron Nola has been highly disappointing after putting up his career numbers last season. His ERA has yet to be below 4.00, and his expected slugging and barrel percentage are both below the league average. What could be a big benefit for him tonight is his chase rate in the 92nd percentile going against the Nats, who are 25th in that category.
The Phillies roster has great numbers against Corbin hitting .344, so Nola may not have to be perfect for Philadelphia to win.
