Bucks vs. 76ers
While Paul George and Joel Embiid are out for the 76ers, Giannis Antetokounmpo expects to play with the Bucks tonight. Khris Middleton won’t be available, but the Bucks will still have the best player on the floor to start the game.
Milwaukee is also hoping for a better season from Damian Lillard. He came over to the Bucks and never really got situated before getting thrown into the system. Lillard is still one of the best scorers in the league and should help propel the Bucks this season. In addition, the Bucks brought in Gary Trent Jr., who took a massive pay cut to be with Lillard and the Bucks. Trent and Lillard played together in Portland, which should have given Lillard more comfort due to their familiarity.
Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey will have to run the show for the 76ers. It’ll likely be Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., Caleb Martin, Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond to start the season. Yabusele got an NBA contract after his play in the Olympics, and Drummond certainly doesn’t give you what Embiid would.
Even on the road, I’ll grab the Bucks at -3.5 (-110).
