76ers vs. Timberwolves
The 76ers and Timberwolves will both travel to Des Moines on Friday for a preseason game. Philadelphia got their preseason started off with a blowout of the New Zealand Breakers. This doesn’t tell us much about this Philadelphia team. Joel Embiid is not expected to play again in this game against the Timberwolves, but we may see the debut of Paul George with the 76ers. On the other side, the new look Timberwolves could see Anthony Edwards make his preseason debut. Minnesota looked strong in their opener against the Lakers with their bench having a very impressive game. Rookies Rob Dillingham and Terrance Shannon combined for 35 points off the bench while Josh Minott and Luka Garza put up 22 and 20, respectively. This is a very deep Timberwolves roster and even without Karl-Anthony Towns they’re a handful even in the preseason. I’ll be backing them in this matchup.
