Monday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
PrizePicks record: 141-99-2
Admittedly, this has not hit once in the NBA Finals. However, it took a couple of unique instances for this not to get home in the last two games. Luka Doncic infamously fouled out early in Game 3, and he had 29 points in Game 4 before hitting the bench early due to the blowout. Surely, the man who averaged 33.9 points per game this season would have gone over this line once in the series had that not happened. With their backs against the wall, look for Doncic to give it his all.
This line has moved two points down following Game 4’s results. P.J. Washington got into early foul trouble and didn’t see time on the floor in the fourth quarter, with all the starters hitting the bench. He finished with just 14 minutes on the floor, amounting to six total points, rebounds and assists. This is a clear outlier from the norm, considering he has averaged 37 minutes per game in the playoffs. He has exceeded this combo line in 13 of the 21 other games and had 23, 25 and 23 combined PRA in the first three games of the Finals.
The sole reason he went over this line last game was the nature of the blowout. Before the fourth quarter, though, Pritchard had just five combined points, rebounds, and assists. His minutes were on a downward trajectory, too, as he played 16 in Game 1, 12 in Game 2 and 11 in Game 3. Pritchard also had nine through three quarters in Game 4. In those first three games, he finished with just four, six and two combined PRA. So, given his lack of playing time and success on the floor, I’ll ride with the under.
