This isn’t the easiest matchup for LaMelo Bell, but this number is too low for a player of his capability. When he plays at least 25 minutes, he has cleared this number in 29 out of 35 games this year, averaging 28.3 points per game. He put up 27 and 32 points against Miami earlier this season.
No Jaren Jackson Jr. opens the floor for Ja Morant to score even more, and this is a fantastic matchup to do just that. The Suns are 27th in defensive Net Rating, allowing the fifth-most points in transition and eighth-most to pick and roll ball handlers. Morant put up 29 points against Phoenix on February 25th
This game profiles to be a full-blown slog between two of the top four defenses and Houston has been phenomenal in limiting big men all season long. They’ve allowed the third-fewest points, fewest rebounds and fewest assists to opposing centers, so it’s only right to fade Orlando’s big man.
