Despite yesterday’s frenzy of games during the NBA Cup, there are still five games on the NBA slate. Let’s take a look at the PrizePicks board.
Like every NBA PrizePicks article, we’ll give our four-player props you can use for a four-leg entry Power Play. A two-leg entry Power Play will give you implied odds of -137 for each prop. A three-leg entry Power Play will give you implied odds of -141. A four-leg entry NBA PrizePicks Power Play will give you implied odds of -128 for each bet.
Getting -128 on the same prop is better than getting -137 or -141. Moving forward, we’ll stick to four-leg entries. Here are our top NBA PrizePicks player predictions for tonight’s action.
Remember that a Flex play can still win if one pick misses, but you’d get lower payouts.

Anthony Davis just dropped 40 points against the San Antonio Spurs last night. He’s already had seven games since October 28 with at least 29 points.
Tonight, he’ll go up against a Pelicans defense that ranks 27th in points allowed to power forwards. The Pelicans have allowed power forwards to shoot 9.39 field goal attempts and have sent them to the line pretty regularly. Ultimately, the foul line has helped Davis get these gigantic point totals.
He’ll still get to the foul line regularly tonight. Let’s take his Over.
LaMelo Ball has earned at least 31 points in three straight games for the Hornets. Ball and the Hornets will take on the Milwaukee Bucks, who haven’t exactly played well defensively.
The Bucks have allowed point guards to score 26.73 points per game. They’ve also allowed 3.94 threes per game, which is 29th in the NBA. In addition, the Bucks have given up 45.13% from downtown to point guards and have allowed the 29th most field goal attempts from point guards.
Ball will see plenty of volume in tonight’s game against the Bucks. His usage has been sky-high, and that won’t change tonight.
Jakob Poeltl had a career night last night. He scored 25 points and delivered plenty of rebounds. However, don’t expect his momentum to continue.
Poeltl will battle a Boston defense that ranks first in the NBA in points allowed to centers. The Celtics have only allowed 15.97 points per game to centers and have allowed just 3.13 second-chance points to centers.
In every single stat against centers, the Celtics are above average and rank highly. Poeltl will likely see his usage rate drop from 25.9 last night back down to around the 15% range. It won’t be a pretty night for him.
Don’t get too excited over Brook Lopez’s 29-point game against the Detroit Pistons. He’s added no more than 13 points before that outburst since October 28.
The Hornets are an average defense against centers. They’ve allowed 22.05 points per game to centers this season. That said, they’ve only allowed 1.11 threes to centers and have held centers to 20.32% from behind the arc. Charlotte has also held centers to just 5.75 second-chance points per game.
These stats don’t look good for Lopez, who has hit his prop in just two of his last ten games.
