Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Predictions
This Season: 30-41
Dinwiddie has only faced the Knicks once this season, and he did not play well. He finished with just 10 points and two assists. It was a performance that broke a streak of back-to-back double-digit assist nights. Dinwiddie has not had a double-digit assist performance since then, which has now been over a month.
What makes this line so interesting is that it's set at 5.5. This easily could have been set at 4.5 and been a much better line. Since it's one higher than that, this feels like a good opportunity to fade and take the over. Dinwiddie is averaging 6.1 assists per game this season. The Knicks haven't been great at preventing assists this season.
Chet Holmgren Under 1.5 three-pointers made
Holmgren is averaging 4.2 three-point attempts per game. He's shooting 38.6% on the season, which means he's making 1.6 shots from beyond the arc per game. However, he's been struggling from deep over his last seven games. He's made one or fewer three-pointers in six of those contests and the only game he made more, he knocked down two shots from deep.
There is always the chance that Holmgren has a hot shooting night. We saw him make 80% of his three earlier this month against the Wizards. However, the Blazers are allowing the fifth-fewest made three-pointers this season. This is not the game in which Holmgren breaks out of his slump.
James Harden Over 2.5 three-pointers made
Harden has made two or more three-pointers in seven consecutive games. Dating back to December 18, there has been only one game in which Harden made fewer than two three-pointers. For him to hit his over tonight, he'll need to make three shots from beyond the arc. Harden has a very high floor as he goes up against a bad three-point defense.
The Lakers are allowing 14.2 three-pointers per game, which is tied for the worst mark in the league this season. This is a very good matchup for Harden, and, with how many three-pointers he's been attempting per game, it'd take a really bad night for him not to hit this over.
