Tuesday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions
This Season: 18-16
There are three three-pointer player predictions listed for Jalen Suggs at PrizePicks tonight. One is a Goblin, which would require him to make more than 1.5 three-pointers. The other two are Demons. While one of those Demons is offering solid odds for him to make more than 4.5 three-pointers, I recommend you take the Demon with slightly less favorable odds, which requires Suggs to make at least four threes.
Suggs has knocked down four three-pointers in three consecutive games, and he's shot at least 40% in each of those contests. Tonight, he faces a defense ranked in the bottom half of the league in opponent three-point field goal percentage. The Bucks are also allowing 14 three-pointers per game this season. Suggs is only averaging 2.3 made shots from beyond the arc this season, but he's hot right now. I don't expect him to come back down to earth just yet.
Luka Doncic knocked down six three-pointers against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. It was his third performance in four tries where he made at least four three-pointers. He's now averaging exactly 3.5 per game.
Tonight, Doncic takes on one of the best three-point shooting defenses in the league. The Thunder are giving up just 12.6 three-pointers per game, and they're holding opponents to 33.3% from beyond the arc.
Doncic is shooting just 34.8% from deep this season. For him to hit the more than he would need to put up a lot of shots. While he's averaging 10.1 per game, he'll likely need to attempt 11 or 12 tonight unless he's especially in the zone. He's only attempted more than 10 three-pointers in one of his last six games, which makes the less than the clear play.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has recorded five or fewer assists in three of his last four games. In Saturday's win over the New Orleans Pelicans, he managed just four assists in 34 minutes. However, he's still averaging 6.3 assists per game this season. He's dished out at least seven in three of his last seven games.
The Mavericks rank 22nd in the league, allowing opponents to dish out 26.8 assists per game this season. Over the last three games, they're allowing an average of 29.7. Earlier this season, Gilgeous-Alexander recorded eight assists against the Mavericks. Though he's been less than impressive assisting on passes in his last few games, this is a good matchup for him.
