Here are the three best NBA PrizePicks player predictions for Tuesday, February 11th.
Kevin Durant has pulled down fewer than six rebounds in five of his last six games, dragging his season average down to 6.1 per game. But that average shows just how well Durant was rebounding the ball before his current slump, as he hasn't pulled down more than his season average since January 22nd.
While Durant's current play is certainly concerning, he's also been around long enough that we know he will eventually break out of his slump. The key is to get in on his more than while it's lower than it should be, which is the case tonight.
The Grizzlies ranks 21st in rebounds allowed per game, and Durant had one of his three 10-rebound performances against them earlier this season. Though he's struggled of late, this is a good matchup, so take advantage of the low number while you can.
Coby White is shooting very well from beyond the arc of late. He's made at least 57.1% of his threes in three consecutive games and he just went 6-of-9 from deep against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. While he's averaging just 3.1 three per game this season, there is serious value in taking the more in the hope he keeps up his hot shooting tonight against the Pistons.
Currently, the only PrizePicks three-pointer prediction listed for White is this one. While 3.5 will surely come out later, it likely will be a Goblin, considering this number is listed as a Demon. With a Demon play, you get slightly better odds. In this matchup, it's worth the risk to back White.
The Pistons are allowing 13.9 three-pointers per game, which is the sixth-most in the NBA. While White only made three threes against them on February 2nd, he did attempt 10 shots from deep. If he puts up that type of volume tonight he may crush this number with how he's currently shooting.
Maybe PrizePicks knows something we don't, but this seems like a bad number. Santi Aldama is averaging 2.6 assists per game this season. He's dished out at least two in three of his last four games. He struggled in January, averaging just 1.2 assists per game, but he did record at least one assist in eight of his nine games during that month.
Aldama enters this game with a high floor after recording an assist in 12 consecutive games. Now he faces a defense ranked 16th in the league, allowing an average of 26.4 assists per game. While this isn't a great matchup, it's also not a bad one. With how Aldama has been finding his teammates in recent games, it's worth backing him at a number 1.1 below his season average.
