The prop market is moving awfully slowly today. There are nine games in the association tonight, but currently, only three games have player props listed at PrizePicks. Admittedly, some of these plays might feel forced and there might be better angles later in the day.

Jaylen Brown Over 24.5 points
Arguably the best game on the board tonight lies between the Cavaliers and the Celtics. These are two of the best defensive sides in the game, but this line is simply too low for a scorer of Jaylen Brown’s prowess. This line is two points below his season average of 26.5 points per game.
Brown has exceeded 24.5 points in 35 of his 50 games season, good for a 70% hit rate. The Cavs have allowed the fewest points per game to Shooting Guards and the fifth-fewest to Small Forwards, but the masked man they call Jaylen has actually found plenty of success when he faced them this season, scoring 30 and 32 points, respectively. The mask doesn’t seem to be affecting him either. He has scored 30 and 26 points in his last two games with it on.
Jalen Brunson failed to get at least five assists last game, but going back to the well on this assist angle seems like a good idea against Boston. Nine of the last 10 primary passers have gone over this mark.
- James Harden – 8
- Tyrese Haliburton – 14
- Killian Hayes – 9
- Jrue Holiday – 7
- Ja Morant – 7
- LaMelo Ball – 10
- James Harden – 11
- Killian Hayes – 9
- Chris Paul – 8
- Jalen Brunson – 3
For whatever reason, these playmakers are dishing it out when they face the C’s to an average of 8.6 per game over this small sample. Darius Garland 54 game sample, however, says his line is also far too low. Averaging 7.9 assists per game, Garland has recorded at least six assists in 45 games (83%) this season. He had 12 assists against Boston earlier this year and has put up at least seven assists in 36 of 54 contests, which is a 67% hit rate.
The Slim-Reaper is poised to make his Phoenix Suns debut tonight, and Chris Paul will undoubtedly do his best to get him acclimated to the team. There aren’t many other better matchups than the one at hand tonight. The Hornets are 22nd in Defensive Net Rating and play at the fourth-fastest pace. This has led to them leading the league in assists allowed per game.
Since returning from his seven-game absence, Paul has nine or more assists in 10 of his last 15 games averaging 9.9 per game. This sample includes a game against Charlotte, where he posted 11 assists. With Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton as your top three scoring options, how does Paul not find at least nine assists tonight? This is listed in the -130 range on both DraftKings and FanDuel, so clearly, there’s value to be had on PrizePicks with this play.
