San Antonio Spurs vs. Washington Wizards

This isn’t the most exciting game on the NBA slate tonight. That’s for sure. However, the Spurs and Wizards are two of the worst defenses in the NBA.

I’m expecting points and a close game.

Deni Avdija has added 12.3 points per game this season. But he has a prop of 13.5 points tonight. That’s because he’s averaged over 15 points per game this month. Avdija only went 5-for-13 against the Knicks but drained five foul shots in 26 minutes. He scored 15 points in that game, despite shooting 38.5% from the floor. In January, Avdija has shot over 50% from the field and is facing a Spurs defense that ranks 25th in points allowed to small forwards.

Meanwhile, we’re hoping Tyus Jones assists on many Avdija buckets. Jones has assisted on just 5.8 baskets per game this season. However, he’s improved immensely over the last month. He’s added 7.1 assists per game in January and just added 15 assists in a 113-109 loss to the Knicks. He only made one shot and took six. But he played 37 minutes and distributed the ball well, earning those 15 assists with only one turnover. That’ll continue against a Spurs team that also ranks 25th in assists allowed to point guards.

Finally, Jeremy Sochan has assisted on four baskets per game this season. He’s added at least four assists in 63% of games this season and has nailed this line in three straight games. He’s also hit at least four assists in seven of his last ten matchups.

Parlay Odds: +406

Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets

Let’s start with Collin Sexton. He’s added at least 20 points in five straight games and has nailed this line in 75% of his last 20 games. In January, he’s averaged 21.7 points and has attempted more than 13 shots per game. Four of those shots have been three-pointers per game, and he’s shooting 47.5% from downtown in the month. He’s also hit 91.2% of foul shots and gets there about three times per game.

While John Collins has been more inconsistent, I think he’ll take the last game against the Thunder and use that as some momentum. He only played 24 minutes but scored 21 points on 7-for-11 from the field. He’s got a tough matchup against the Rockets, but Collins is very efficient when he gets his shots up. He’s hit 61% from the field in January this year.

Lastly, we’ll roll with Lauri Markkanen to add at least nine rebounds. It’s been a common occurrence, as he’s smacked this line in seven straight games. Markkanen has added 9.3 rebounds in the month and has earned at least ten rebounds in five of those seven games. The Rockets are also 17th in rebounds allowed to power forwards, which is slightly below the average.

Parlay Odds: +452
