Orlando Magic vs. Charlotte Hornets

LaMelo Ball just scored 30 points against the Miami Heat. He’s scored at least 30 points in two of his last three games heading into this one. Over the last 10 games, he’s attempted more than 18 shots per game. He’s only shot 41.5% from the field, but the attempts will be there, especially against the Magic. Orlando has allowed the 28th-most field-goal attempts to point guards this season and ranks 27th in points allowed to point guards. Look for Ball to be a dominant force in tonight’s game.

Meanwhile, Miles Bridges is entering this game coming off a 10-rebound performance against the Heat. He’s averaged nearly nine rebound chances per game, and has earned at least nine rebound chances in five consecutive games. That should continue against the Magic, who rank 28th in total rebounds allowed to small forwards. The Magic are poor on the defensive and offensive glass against small forwards this season.

Desmond Bane has drilled at least two threes in four of his last five games. But he might struggle against a Hornets team ranked first in the NBA in three-pointers made by shooting guards. Bane has only attempted 4.6 threes per game over the last 10 games. He’s had four games over his last 10 with only three attempted three-pointers. Tonight could be another game like that.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat

Jaime Jaquez Jr. is a game-time decision. But he’s surely hoping to play in this battle against the Lakers tonight. The Lakers rank dead last in points and field goal rate against small forwards this season. Jaquez has scored at least 13 points in seven of his last 10 games, while shooting nearly 50% from the floor during that stretch.

Luka Doncic has earned at least nine rebounds in four of his last five games. He’s also averaged 10.3 rebounds per game over his last three games against the Heat. Doncic has averaged 11.5 rebound chances per game over the last 10 games and will face a Heat squad ranked 24th in total rebounds allowed to point guards this year.

The Heat are also poor against shooting guards on the glass. Miami ranks 27th in total rebounds allowed and 26th in defensive rebounds allowed to shooting guards. Austin Reaves has added at least five rebounds in three of his last five games and has averaged 5.5 rebounds over his last two games against the Heat. Let’s add him to grab at least five rebounds tonight to close out this parlay.
