Another NBA playoff game means another chance to make Underdog NBA player predictions! The Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Denver Nuggets in the first game of the West Semifinals matchup. It’ll be the only game played tonight, but there’s still plenty of value on the board.
Therefore, I’ve added a handful of player props via Underdog that you should consider pairing up in this game.
Remember, with Underdog, you will get a 3x payout with two picks, a 6x payout with three picks, a 10x payout with four picks, and a 20x payout with five picks.
You can mix and match to your liking to get the potential payout of your choice. You can also insure your Underdog entry, where if you only hit four picks, you’ll get a 2.5x payout; if you get all five correct, you’ll earn a 10x payout.
A standard 5-pick Underdog entry would get you a 20x payout without the entry being insured.

Saturday's Top NBA Underdog Pick 'Em Picks
Let’s dive into our top NBA Underdog picks for today’s NBA Playoffs game between the Timberwolves and Nuggets.
Anthony Edwards 5.5 Assists – Higher
Anthony Edwards added at least six assists in three of four games against the Suns in the first round of the playoffs. Edwards contributed 5.1 assists per game in the regular season, but he’s taken it up a notch.
The Timberwolves have scored at least 120 points in three of their first playoff games and will likely add another high offensive output in tonight’s game. If that happens, expect Edwards to be in the middle of things offensively, not just with points but also in the assist category.
Anthony Edwards 5.5 Rebounds – Higher
Edwards averaged eight rebounds per game against the Suns and nine rebounds in three of four matchups against them.
The Timberwolves won’t have as many rebounding opportunities tonight. But even if you take away three rebounds from Edwards in three of the four games, he’d still have six. You can expect Edwards to play around 40 minutes tonight, which should be enough for him to get at least six rebounds.
Naz Reid 1.5 Threes – Lower
While Naz Reid has scored 9.5 points per game in the playoffs, he’s shot just 31.3% from downtown and contributed just 1.3 threes per game on four attempts.
Reid took no more than five shots in two of the four games. He also played at least 20 minutes in just one game in the playoffs.
While Reid can be a factor at the foul line and around the rim, his inconsistency from downtown in the playoffs has me wanting to take his Under here.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 8.5 Points – Lower
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope only averaged six points per game against the Timberwolves while playing almost 30 minutes a night this season.
In the playoffs, Caldwell-Pope averaged 8.4 points but scored no more than six points in three of five games against the Lakers. While KCP will play around 35 minutes in tonight’s game, he’s still attempted just 8.6 shots per game in the playoffs so far.
With those 8.6 shots, he’s hit 37.2% from the field. In addition, he’s nailed only 28.6% from downtown on 5.6 three-point attempts per game. The Nuggets will score plenty offensively, but it won’t be because of Caldwell-Pope.
Rudy Gobert 12.5 Rebounds – Lower
With more offense and fewer expected opportunities, I’ll gladly take Gobert to go Under 12.5 rebounds. Gobert added just 11 rebounds per game in the series sweep against the Suns. In two of the four matchups, Gobert finished with no more than nine rebounds.
He’ll be consistent around the rim and score a handful of points. But earning offensive rebounds against the Nuggets is not nearly as easy as it was against the Suns.
