Best NFL Monday Night Football PrizePicks Player Predictions
A.J. Brown has gone for 94 and 114 yards in his last two games despite the Eagles struggling offensively. This season, he's cleared the 100-yard mark seven times and failed to hit 80 yards in just five games.
The Seahawks have one of the worst pass defenses in football, and they've allowed an average of 279 air yards in their last three games. Jalen Hurts will throw the ball with success for the first time in a few weeks, which means his top target is set to have another near-100-yard performance.
At the time of writing, we do not know if Geno Smith will be on the field on Monday night. If he is unable to play, Drew Lock will get the start. With how bad the Eagles' secondary has been this season, we like even Lock to have success getting the ball to his receivers.
Last week, Lock split the targets between Lockett and D.K. Metcalf pretty evenly. Lockett ended with six, and Metcalf ended with five. However, Lockett did the most with the passes thrown his way; he caught all six targets for 89 yards.
The Eagles enter Monday night with the fourth-worst pass defense in the league. If Smith plays, Lockett and Metcalf are in for huge nights. If he doesn't, the Eagles will still give up plenty of yards, as they play soft coverage with a lead in the second half.
In the Eagles' recent losses, D’Andre Swift has barely gotten opportunities. He's run the ball just 17 times for 52 yards in those two games combined. He hasn't carried the ball more than 14 times in five weeks, as the Eagles have consistently been playing from behind.
If Hurts doesn't play tonight due to his illness, the Eagles could be playing from behind again. Still, we believe that Hurts will play, and because of his illness, the Eagles will do their best to keep the pressure off of him by running the ball.
The Seahawks' pass defense is terrible, but their rush defense isn't much better. They rank 23rd in the league, allowing 123.4 rushing yards per game. Swift's total is set at 58.5, a number he's only cleared twice in his last six games. Therefore, back his attempts, as the Eagles finally find themselves in a favorable game scenario.
