Meanwhile, the Steelers have made a change at quarterback from Justin Fields to Russell Wilson. Could that provide a spark for their offense? If it doesn't, we could see the Steelers begin to spiral out of control. But with their defense being the heart of the team, I don't see a complete meltdown happening.
With that, the team I think that has to lay it all on the line is the New York Jets. After all, they basically just showed that by trading for wide receiver Davante Adams. Bringing that rapport between Adams and Aaron Rodgers could do wonders for the Jets offense. It should free up the box some to help create better rushing lanes for the Jets rushing attack. Meanwhile, we could see some more 1-on-1 situations for other receivers such as Allen Lazard or Garrett Wilson.
During Adams' career with Rodgers, he has 622 catches for 7,590 yards and has scored 69 touchdowns in 108 games. My guess is that there won't be many miscues between the two tonight, if any at all.
So far this season, the Steelers defense allows 10.33 receptions per game to receivers for 144.17 yards and 0.67 touchdowns. Over their last four games, the Steelers have allowed at least one receiving touchdown to wide receivers. It'll be tough on the road but give me the Jets to win this game due to their offense playing one of their better games of the season.
