Best TNF Week 8 PrizePicks Player Predictions
Baker Mayfield OVER 230.5 Passing Yards
According to RotoViz’s pace app, the Buccaneers have passed on 59% of their 278 plays in a neutral game script this year. The matchup isn’t imposing for Baker Mayfield against Buffalo’s injury-ravaged defense, either.
Since Week 5, the Bills have coughed up 262.3 passing yards per game. Two quarterbacks the Bills faced in that three-game stretch had over 230.5 passing yards, with a median of 272 ceded to Mac Jones in Week 7.
Mayfield hasn’t played flawlessly, but he’s been rock-solid. The veteran quarterback averages 227.2 passing yards per game. However, Mayfield has exceeded 230.5 passing yards three times in six games, and the Buccaneers might have to throw more often since they’re underdogs. Thus, FantasyPros is projecting Mayfield to pass for 237.4 yards against the Bills.
Stefon Diggs OVER 86.5 Receiving Yards
Stefon Diggs is clowning opposing secondaries this year. Buffalo’s alpha wideout averages 96.9 receiving yards per game, with a median of 102 in 2023.
The matchup is stellar as well. The Bucs have allowed 246.7 passing yards per game, and they’ve struggled with opposing No. 1 wideouts. In six games, Tampa Bay allowed 150 receiving yards to Justin Jefferson, 131 to A.J. Brown, 124 to Amon-Ra St. Brown, 104 to DJ Moore, four to Chris Olave and 54 to Drake London.
Diggs is an elite wideout and is projected for 89.2 receiving yards by FantasyPros.
Dalton Kincaid OVER 36.5 Receiving Yards
Dalton Kincaid had the best game of his rookie season in Week 7, catching eight passes for 75 receiving yards. Dawson Knox will undergo wrist surgery that will sideline him for an undisclosed period, paving the way for Kincaid to consolidate the production at the position for the Bills.
The matchup isn’t terrifying for him, either. According to The 33rd Team, the Bucs have allowed 5.3 receptions per game and 44.8 receiving yards per game to tight ends this season. So, FantasyPros is projecting 38.8 receiving yards for the rookie tight end against the Buccaneers.
