NFL Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Seahawks vs. Broncos
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Seattle Seahawks at Denver Broncos
Leg 1: Seattle Seahawks -2.5 (-115)
The Seahawks are coming off a 32-29 Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. However, some of those points came off a dreadful fumble by Seahawks running back George Holani in his own end zone.
The defense played well, holding 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy to fewer than 200 passing yards and the team to under 100 rushing yards.
Next up, they face the Broncos’ struggling offense. Denver is 26th in points (19.4), 25th in rushing yards (86.2) and 25th in passing yards (182.8) per game.
Head coach Sean Payton has taken back play-calling duties, but they put up just 23 points in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers and squeaked out a win.
The Seahawks’ defense has been excellent, and their offense ranks eighth in points per game (26.8). Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has completed fewer than 60% of his passes. The Seahawks should win and cover.
Leg 2: Bo Nix Under 200.5 Passing Yards (-111)
Heading into Week 6, Bo Nix has thrown for 201+ yards in two games, but he’s coming off 123 passing yards on 27 attempts. Through five weeks, he’s completed 59.9% of his passes for 942 yards (5.8 yards per attempt), six touchdowns and three interceptions.
Now, Nix faces a Seahawks defense that hasn’t allowed 200 passing yards to any quarterback in any game all season. Additionally, the Seahawks play mostly Cover 3 and Cover 6, and lead the league in Cover 6 utilization rate.
Against those coverages this season, Nix is averaging just 6.6 yards per attempt. He’s simply not pushing the ball downfield enough. Take the under on his passing yards props.
Leg 3: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+105)
It’s likely no surprise, but Jaxon Smith-Njigba has scored in all but one game this season. He leads the NFL in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Next up, he faces a Broncos defense that’s likely without Patrick Surtain II on the short week, and Riley Moss’ status is unknown.
Smith-Njigba has a 35.2% target share, which is simply an absurd number. To add to the absurdity, he has a 50% target share in the red zone. He’s a candidate to score weekly against anyone.
Parlay Odds: +525
