Best NFL Week 8 Lookahead Bets

Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills
These Ravens-Bills matchups never get old.
The Ravens face the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 7. It’s still unclear if Lamar Jackson will return for that game, but he’ll likely be back for this matchup against the Bills.
Anyway, I’ve got the Bengals earning a divisional upset this week, coming off a bye. If that happens, many people will be out on the Ravens next week against the Bills.
Ultimately, the Ravens have it rough. They’re playing back-to-back games against top AFC opponents who are coming off bye weeks. That surely doesn’t favor a Ravens team trying to figure out who their quarterback is for these games. Plus, Tyler Loop has some kicking issues. Jake Moody was brought in for competition.
Meanwhile, the Bills earned a 33-30 road win over the Raiders last week. They’ll have two weeks to prepare for the Ravens and will be at home. I’ll gladly take Bills -3.
Pick: Bills -3 (-105)
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are 0-5 and will face the Jets in Week 7. Ultimately, the Jets can’t afford to lose this game to the Dolphins. At 2-5, they’ve shown potential but haven’t put it all together. You’d like to think the Jets will finally figure it all out against a winless Dolphins team, especially with Breece Hall and Adonai Mitchell listed as questionable.
Those playmakers can make a big difference if they actually play.
Meanwhile, the Patriots will battle the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football. Win or lose, they’ll have more time to prepare for the Dolphins. I value that, and I think other bettors will, too.
Additionally, there’s also a world where the Patriots beat the Bears tonight. New England has a better pass rush, has tackled much better and probably has a better run defense and a better secondary.
With an upset win in Chicago, the Patriots would likely be much heavier favorites heading into Week 8 against the Dolphins.
Pick: Patriots -7.5 (-115)
