It hasn’t been a pretty last two weeks for my confidence pool picks. However, the good news is that we’ve still got 75% of the season to go. There’s still time to get back to the top of the leaderboard.
We’re 40-23 but have earned only 393 points. That’s only good for 25,239 via ESPN’s Pick’em. We need to pick it up.
Here are my NFL Week 5 confidence pool picks.

NFL Week 5 Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Jets | Cowboys vs. Jets
If the Jets minimize turnovers, they’ll be fine. I’ve got them earning an upset at home over Dallas this weekend.
(2) Jaguars | Chiefs vs. Jaguars
Jacksonville’s defense might be even more impressive than Kansas City’s. This will likely be a defensive matchup, but I’ll pick the home team to come out on top.
(3) Rams | 49ers vs. Rams
Injuries are catching up to the 49ers. It was apparent in last week’s loss.
(4) Vikings | Vikings vs. Browns
The Cleveland Browns are turning to Dillon Gabriel to inject some life into the team. I doubt he’s ready for the spotlight.
(5) Texans | Texans vs. Ravens
Houston must take advantage of the Ravens, who will be without Lamar Jackson this week.
(6) Seahawks | Buccaneers vs. Seahawks
The Buccaneers have been in every game this season. But the team hasn’t looked its best. They’ve needed comebacks every week, and finally didn’t do enough last weekend. Either way, Seattle’s defense will be too much for Tampa Bay to overcome.
(7) Eagles | Broncos vs. Eagles
The Eagles continue to find ways to win, even when they’re not playing their best.
(8) Chargers | Commanders vs. Chargers
Los Angeles will be happy to be home this week. Additionally, we do not yet know the status of Jayden Daniels or Terry McLaurin.
(9) Dolphins | Dolphins vs. Panthers
The Dolphins have a chance to earn a two-game winning streak with a win over the Panthers. Momentum.
(10) Bills | Patriots vs. Bills
New England’s building a culture. The Patriots dominated last week. However, don’t expect them to dominate on the road against a divisional rival like the Bills.
(11) Giants | Giants vs. Saints
This is one of the few games the Giants can win on the road.
(12) Colts | Raiders vs. Colts
Geno Smith and his turnovers are going to push the Raiders out of contention.
(13) Cardinals | Titans vs. Cardinals
The Arizona offense might’ve figured something out in the final five minutes of their game against the Seahawks.
(14) Lions | Lions vs. Bengals
Are the Bengals going to make a trade for a quarterback or not? We’re waiting.
