Sunday’s Best Winter Olympics Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Sweden vs. France (Women’s Hockey)
Sweden added a monster win over Italy to go 2-0 in the Winter Olympics. Sweden scored just one goal in the first period, but added multiple goals in the following two periods to defeat Italy, 6-1.
On the other hand, France lost to Japan, 3-2, on Friday and is currently 0-2 to start the Winter Olympics. Italy already destroyed France 4-1 in the previous game. This game will be a massive mismatch between Sweden and France.
It’s why Sweden is -3000 on the moneyline, and the spread is -1.5 (-700) for Sweden. However, nobody would be surprised if Sweden won this game by at least five goals. Right now, the Over 4.5 is at -200. Each Sweden game has scored at least five goals so far. The nets should be ringing a lot against France. Let’s take the Over.
Pick: Over 4.5 Goals (-200)
Finland vs. Czechia (Women’s Hockey)
Finland lost its first battle, 5-0, against the United States. In that match, Finland’s goalie saved 44-of-49 shots. Meanwhile, Finland took just 11 shots in the loss. They’re set to face a Czech team that hasn’t won at the Olympics yet. They’re 0-2-1 after earning a shootout loss against Switzerland. Czechia at least put up a fight against a top team in women’s hockey.
They’re currently -1.5 (+144) and sitting at -170 on the moneyline. Either direction looks good. You can decide if you’d rather have the spread or the moneyline. I’ll go with the spread and make things more interesting before the Super Bowl.
Pick: Czechia -1.5 (+144)
