Premier League Matchday 20 Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)

Premier League Matchday 20 Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)

We've reached the halfway point of the 2025-26 English Premier League (EPL) campaign. Arsenal (45 points) just extended its first-place lead over Manchester City (41) and Aston Villa (39) with a 4-1 win over the latter in their mid-week clash. The Gunners, per DraftKings Sportsbook, are -200 favorites to secure their first EPL title since 2003-04.

The Premier League action continues this weekend, with all 20 teams gearing up to take the pitch. Below, I've listed my top three Premier League Matchday 20 bets.

Premier League Matchday 20 Preview & Best Bets (2025)

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Aston Villa (-125) vs. Nottingham Forest (+350), DRAW (+270) | O/U 2.5 (-125/+100

Third-place Aston Villa (12-3-4) had its 11-match all-league winning streak snapped on Tuesday when they were hammered 4-1 on the road against Arsenal. They'll return home on Saturday morning to host 17th-place Nottingham Forest (5-3-11), who are only four points above the relegation line. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. ET from Villa Park in Birmingham.

Aston Villa may have lost its 11-match winning streak, but there is another streak that's still intact. That's Unai Emery's 10-game heater at Villa Park. The third-place club has been lights out at home in the Premier League this season, going 7-1-1 with a +8 goal differential (15:7). They'll host a Nottingham Forest side that's just 2-2-5 on the road, owning a -7 goal differential (6:13).

I'm shocked to see Aston Villa as such a small favorite. I figured it would be closer to the -175 range, so I'll gladly back them to rebound from the 4-1 shellacking at the hands of Arsenal. The Villans are a respectable ninth in clean sheet percentage (26.3%) this season, so they should have no issue shutting down the Tricky Trees, who have only 18 goals (19th) in 19 matches.

Bet: Aston Villa Moneyline (-125)

Wolverhampton (+150) vs. West Ham (+185), DRAW (+235) | O/U 2.5 (+100/-130

Right after the Aston Villa versus Nottingham Forest game on Saturday, we have a bottom-of-the-table thriller between Wolverhampton and West Ham. Wolverhampton Wanderers (0-3-16) are still searching for their first win of the season, while the visiting Irons (3-5-11) haven't been much better, sitting just below the relegation line in 18th place. Kick-off is slated for 10:00 a.m. ET from Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton.

This is the best opportunity on the schedule for the fine folks of Wolverhampton to witness their team earn a win. Even though it has been tough sledding for the Wolves, I just cannot pass up on a +150 payout for them to notch their first win of the year.

They'll host a West Ham side that hasn't fared well on the road, going just 1-4-4 with a -6 goal differential (9:15). Their expected goals difference per 90 minutes (xGD/90) on the road is -0.78, which sits only above Burnley's last-place mark of -1.35. Overall, this season, West Ham actually has a slightly worse xGD/90 (-0.64) compared to Wolverhampton (-0.55). In terms of recent form, the visitors are winless across their last eight matches (0-4-4). Wolverhampton turned in a surprising 1-1 draw against Manchester United last time out, and I'm willing to take a flier on them in this spot.

Bet: Wolves Moneyline (+150)

Manchester City (-160) vs. Chelsea (+370), DRAW (+360) | O/U 3.5 (+125/-155

Matchday 20 wraps up on Sunday with a heavyweight clash in Manchester, as second-place Manchester City (13-2-4) takes on fifth-place Chelsea (8-6-5). This contest gets underway at 12:30 p.m. ET from Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Things are a bit chaotic for Chelsea at the moment, as manager Enzo Maresca just departed from the club by mutual consent. This management move comes after a rough 1-4-2 Premier League stretch. The Blues have conceded multiple goals in three straight matches, and their expected goals allowed (xGA) of 26.2 is now a middle-of-the-road 10th in the table.

The Maresca exit has made way for Calum McFarlane to take the reins in an interim role. He draws an unfavorable matchup against a Manchester City side that's heating up, going 8-1-0 in their last nine matches in all leagues. To make matters worse for the Blues, they've also been pummelled in the head-to-head department, going winless (0-2-9) in their last 11 meetings with the Citizens.

Manchester City, who's an excellent 8-0-1 with a +19 goal differential (25:6) at home this year, should cruise past a floundering Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. I'll lay the goal at -105 in this marquee matchup.

Bet: Manchester City -1 (-105)
