Saturday’s WNBA Player Props & Bets: Storm vs. Valkyries
(Odds Courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Nneka Ogwumike Under 25.5 Points + Rebounds (-122) Player Props
Nneka Ogwumike performed masterfully in Seattle's last contest against Minnesota. The Storm served the Lynx their first loss of the season, while the veteran shot over 64% from the field, on the way to a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double.
This will be the first meeting between the Valkyries and the Storm, and the matchup does not exactly play into the strengths of the Stanford alumni. Golden State has collected 74.8% of defensive rebounds over the last five games, which leads the WNBA. The Valkyries allow the second-fewest amount of points in the paint, and Ogwumike has scored just under 52% of her baskets in the painted area.
Ogwumike’s success relies heavily on the ability to get in the paint and grab defensive rebounds. Exactly where Golden State has proven to be extremely effective in regards to stopping opponents as of late. The Seattle forward has cleared a combined 25.5 points + rebounds only once in her last six contests.
Gabby Williams 15+ Points (-114) Player Props
We close out our selections with one that seems like a bit of an overreaction to a rough outing against one of the strongest defensive teams in the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx. Gabby Williams scored 12 points on Wednesday, yet still managed to make six of her 12 attempts from the field.
Before that contest on Wednesday, Williams scored 15+ points in four of her previous five games. The veteran is averaging 17.5 points over the previous six games, while connecting on 14 three-pointers over that span.
The Seattle forward has recorded 20+ points in three of the last six games. Williams has played at least 30+ minutes in every game for Seattle, while hitting over 51% of her field-goal attempts and shooting 45.8% from beyond the arc on the season.
