Colorado Rockies (+275) at Chicago Cubs (-345) | O/U 7.5 (-110/-110)
It continues to be a brutal season for the Rockies as we've passed Memorial Day and they’re still not at double-digit wins. It cannot be just one factor that makes a team historically bad; they are last or near the bottom in every pitching and hitting category.
That applies to German Marquez, as his -1.0 WAR is the third-worst amongst pitchers with at least nine starts. Even when he does pitch well, like when he allowed just one earned run in seven innings against Philadelphia, the Rockies were not able to give him any run support as they lost 2-0. He still has a 7.68 ERA and has allowed five or more earned runs in six of his 10 starts.
Marquez is going against arguably the best offense in baseball tonight in the Cubs. They are the only team averaging six runs per game. The Cubs have touched up Marquez in his career with a .362 weighted batting average against him.

Pittsburgh Pirates (+215) at Arizona Diamondbacks (-265) | O/U 9.0 (+100/-120)
It was a brutal start to the season for Corbin Burnes as the Diamondbacks were 2-3 in his starts and he posted a 4.05 ERA in his first five starts. It looks like Arizona is finally getting a return on their investment as he's turned around his season, going 3-1 with a 1.38 ERA in his last five starts. The one problem we're still seeing is walks, as he's allowed 11 free passes in his last 26 innings. However, his strikeout ability is helping him get out of tough situations.
Burnes’ success against Pittsburgh should help him in this start. While the Pirates are a modest ninth in walk rate, they are 25th in strikeout rate.

Atlanta Braves (-102) at Philadelphia Phillies (-118) | O/U 8.5 (-108/-112)
Spencer Strider is two starts into his return from a year-long absence of recovering from Tommy John surgery, and it is taking some time to get back into form. There's a notable loss in speed to his vicious fastball that once exceeded triple digits. For someone who heavily relies on his fastball velocity to get swing and misses, it's leaving him with figuring out on the fly how to retire batters. This was a guy who just two years ago had a 36.8% strikeout rate that was in the 99th percentile; now it's barely at 20%. It will take some time to get back into form, but he could have more rough outings.
Phillies pitcher Ranger Suarez has been the opposite since returning from injury. While he had an awful first start, allowing seven earned runs, he has a 1.31 ERA, including two starts where he went at least six scoreless innings.
