The 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) regular season rolls on Wednesday. There are seven afternoon games, and nine games with a first pitch of 6:40 p.m. ET or later. The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets will be playing a day-night doubleheader, too, after a postponement on Tuesday. And, at 7:40 p.m. ET, the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox will square off, and that is the nationally televised game which can be viewed or streamed on MLB Network and/or Amazon’s Prime Video.

Cleveland Guardians (-126) at Cincinnati Reds (+108) | O/U 8.5 (-102/-120)
The Guardians (55-54) and the Reds (50-56) meet in the interleague series finale at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on Wednesday. The two teams were rained out Monday night, and they were forced to play a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday. The teams split the double dip, so Wednesday’s finale will be the rubber game.
The Guardians won the matinee game 6-5 behind RHP Slade Cecconi, while the Reds won a 2-0 pitcher’s duel in Game 2 as the Under (9) cashed. It was the third time in the past four games that the Guardians have been blanked. The Under also halted a five game run to the Over in this series between the Ohio rivals.
The Guardians turn to LHP Joey Cantillo (8-6, 4.02 ERA, 1.46 WHIP) for Wednesday’s start, while the Reds counter with RHP Brady Singer (5-9, 4.53 ERA, 1.38 WHIP).
While Singer’s win-loss record isn’t very good, he is 3-4 at GABP this season, while posting a very respectable 2.98 ERA across 48 1/3 IP in nine home outings.
Cantillo has been mediocre on the road, going 4-4 with a 4.20 ERA across 60 IP with nine homers allowed in 12 starts.
Cincinnati is just 11-12 vs. LHP this season, but it is 23-15 in interleague play. Cleveland is 33-40 vs. RHP, while going 17-15 vs. NL teams. We’ll side with the Reds on the ML as slight home underdogs, while going Under in the finale.

New York Yankees (-148) at Chicago White Sox (+126) | O/U 7.5 (-110/-110)
The Yankees (61-46) and White Sox (55-51) meet at Rate Field on the south side of Chicago in the night’s only nationally-televised game, and the Bronx Bombers are aiming for the third win in three days in this four-game series.
The Yankees won 9-5 as moderate favorites (-146) on Monday as the Over (8.5) cashed, while it eased by the ChiSox 3-2 as slight favorites (-118) on Tuesday as the Under (7.5) connected behind RHP Gerrit Cole.
On Wednesday, the Yankees turn to All-Star RHP Cam Schlittler (10-6, 2.07 ERA, 0.93 WHIP), and he’ll be opposed by White Sox RHP Davis Martin (9-5, 3.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP).
The Yankees have dominated this series, going 4-1 in five meetings this season, and 7-1 across the past eight encounters dating back to Sept. 23, 2025. The Over has a slight 3-2 edge in five meetings this season, while going 4-3 in the past seven in the series.
New York has won five of the past six games, and seven of the previous nine outings, while the Under has a 5-2 edge in the past seven contests. The Under is also 3-1 in the past four starts by Schlittler, with the Yankees going 3-1 in his past four outings.
Chicago has dropped four of the past five outings, as they cannot gain any traction in the AL Central, as there is a logjam near the top with Cleveland and Minnesota. The ChiSox are 1.5 games ahead of the Guardians, and two games clear of the Twins. The Detroit Tigers are also in the hunt, just five games off the pace.
The White Sox have lost each of the past four starts by Martin, and with Schlittler on the bump for the Yankees, things aren’t going to get easier for the Pale Hose. Let’s back the Yankees as moderate favorites, and we’ll lean Over on the total.
