Los Angeles Dodgers (-112) at Philadelphia Phillies (-104) | O/U 9.5 (-106/-114)
The Dodgers (64-38) and Phillies (56-46) wrap up a three-game set at Citizens Bank Park at 6:40 p.m. ET. In Monday’s series opener, the Phillies notched a 10-7 victory with a football score, looking more like the Eagles and Rams, as the over (8.5) cashed. On Tuesday, we had a pitcher’s duel, as Los Angeles bounced back for a 2-1 win over the Phillies at even-money (+100) as the under (nine) comfortably cashed.
The Dodgers did all of their damage in the top of the fourth inning, as All-Star third baseman Max Muncy swatted a two-run homer to provide all of the offense. The first four batters for L.A. went 4-for-16 with two runs scored and Muncy’s two runs batted in, but the rest of the lineup was just 1-for-15 with five strikeouts.
For the Phillies, they scattered seven hits, but only third baseman Alec Bohm brought his hitting shoes to The Vault, going 3-for-4 with a double and the team’s lone RBI. The rest of the lineup went 4-for-29 with 11 strikeouts.
Lefty Eric Lauer (4-5, 4.81 ERA, 1.28 WHIP) takes the ball for the Dodgers, and on the surface, his numbers look poor. But he is 3-0 with a 3.12 ERA across 40.1 innings in seven starts since coming over from the Toronto Blue Jays. Phillies righty Aaron Nola (3-7, 5.68 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) makes the start for the home side, and he has been a disaster this season. At home, he is 0-3 with a 6.50 ERA across 44.1 innings in nine home starts with a dismal 1.69 WHIP. He has served up 11 homers at home, too, and 23 on the season overall, which is among the league leaders.
The Phillies are just 18-20 versus lefties, and they have Nola on the bump. The best course of action here is to roll the dice on the Dodgers on the run line, and we’ll go high on the total, hoping L.A. takes Nola behind the shed.

Chicago White Sox (-106) at Texas Rangers (-110) | O/U 8.5 (-114/-106)
At 8:05 p.m. ET, the White Sox (53-47) and Rangers (51-50) square off in the rubber game at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
The White Sox pounded the Rangers 10-3 in Monday’s opener, while the Rangers routed the White Sox 10-0, as righty Kumar Rocker certainly enjoyed the copious amounts of run support.
The ChiSox had just three total hits in Tuesday’s dogwater showing. All-Star first baseman Munetaka Murakami went 1-for-3 with a walk. Third baseman Miguel Vargas went 1-for-4 with a double, the team’s only extra-base hit.
For the Rangers, designated hitter Wyatt Langford was 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI atop the lineup, while outfielder Brandon Nimmo found success at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI. Outfielder Alejandro Osuna also shined, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and three RBI from the final spot of the order.
Lefty Anthony Kay (6-4, 4.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) works for the White Sox, while Rangers lefty Tyler Alexander (1-1, 2.79 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) works as an opener in his first start of the season at home.
Kay has been terrible on the road, going 1-2 with a 5.80 ERA and nine homers surrendered in just 40.1 innings across nine starts. That’s the difference here, and we’ll back the Rangers. Texas is on an amazing 12-0 run to the over, so you know we’re riding that wave until it crashes.

Miami Marlins (+104) at Houston Astros (-122) | O/U 8 (-114/-106)
Deep in the heart of Texas, the Marlins (52-50) and Astros (49-54) tangle in their series finale at Daikin Park at 8:10 p.m. ET.
The Astros have won the first two games of this set, outscoring Miami 13-8, as the over/under has split 1-1. Houston has won nine of the past nine meetings in this series since August 15th, 2023, while the over is 6-1 in the past seven meetings, with Tuesday’s game as the lone exception in that run.
Righty Sandy Alcantara (10-5, 3.89 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) works for the Marlins. While he is 6-2 on the road, he also has a 4.48 ERA, and teams are hitting .281 against him in 70.1 innings in 11 away outings.
The Astros turn to righty Peter Lambert (8-5, 3.03 ERA, 1.11 WHIP) to complete the sweep. In his past seven starts, Lambert is 3-1 with a 2.40 ERA and 0.92 WHIP across 41.1 innings. He is 5-4 at home with a 3.17 ERA in 10 starts across 59.2 innings. Teams are hitting just .194 against him in Houston, while posting a solid 1.07 WHIP.
Let’s back the Astros, especially since the Marlins have dropped eight in a row, and we’ll go low on the total.
